Boothbay Harbor Vacation Rental cottage

We vacation in Boothbay Harbor often and were very sad when the place we usually rent was sold: We were sure we would never find a place we liked as well or that was as good a deal. However, we have to say that this rental had MANY "plusses" compared to other rentals.

If you like walking into town, then this is a great place. Literally, you are about a 5 minute walk from town. If you like having a comfortable place to kick your feet up, hear the foghorns and seagulls and read, then this home should be a consideration. (And they have a ton of books on site, and THAT is always nice!) And if you like to save some money by cooking at home part of the time, then this is your rental; the kitchen was roomy and had everyhting we needed.

It needs to be added that the owners in town did a nice job of being "on call" when we needed them and were very pleasant. The bathroom (and there is only the one) could use a little work, and we did have a hard time getting a clear picture on the TV so we could check the weather for the next day, but those were the only 2 "negatives" of the whole stay, so all in all not so bad! We are looking at visiting Boothbay Harbor again next year, and this place is one of the top choices. Staying where you know the people are nice is always a good thing, and having a place that understands how families want to vacation is a VERY BIG PLUS! We have already recommended this place to friends.
