A beautiful place.

My life is busy...hectic lately....and I really needed to relax. My special needs daughter and I stayed at Blowing Wind for a week, April 11 - 19. My other daughter and three grandchildren came by for a couple of days. We had a wonderful time. It was everything Dee had said it was. The cabin is beautiful and the walls are done with cedar, real cedar not just panelling. It has such warmth and peaceful comfort. Everything we needed was there; clean, well maintained, and groceries were easily had at the near-by Walmart. There are stairs though. My daughter is ambulatory and could negotiate them well but I wouldn't try it with a wheelchair.

Walking the mountain in the early morning, birds singing, fresh air, trees all around...gave me a sense of renewal. I did a lot of journaling sitting on the deck, looking down into the peaceful valley. The children had never been in the country before and loved being in the woods but really enjoyed the videos. The locals were friendly when we ventured out and about. I will be coming back and I have already recommended the chalet to my brother and some friends. Next time will be without the kids. I want to enjoy the quiet, romantic nights...and the beautiful hot tub. lol

The cabin is advertised as sleeping 14. One part of the description on this website states that there are 12 beds, another section states that there are 8 beds. In actuality, there are 6 beds. There was 1 king, 1 queen, and 4 single beds. Even if you count the couch and love seat, the cabin does not sleep 14 people.

My group had a beautiful time. The Chalet was clean and well stocked with everyhting we needed to eat, cook, shower, and relax to a wonderful fireplace and sleep on very comfy bed. Thank you Dee for making everything great! Elyse

Great getaway - GORGEOUS VIEWS!

This was one of the nicest places I've stayed in a long time. This is our third trip, and a must-return. Since last year, the owner has added a flat panel, swiveling TV in the living room, made a previously 'private' room into a bedroom, and the place is better than ever.

Clean, well kept and maintained - fireplace was wonderful, love the stove (I wish we had gas at home!) and I cooked some great food with the supplied utensils and pans. Even had all the baking pans I needed!

We had two teens with us, who alternated between the hot tub and the loft, where they were sleeping - they loved the wireless internet and the TV (with the all the channels AND radio!) and they could both take showers downstairs in the 'bunk room' and still listen to their laptops streaming music.

This is a place that anyone would love - good location, great property, nice owner, well laid out and wonderful. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Very Happy Renter

I rented this cabin for my family to stay in on a recent visit. This spacious, well equiped home was very clean with beautiful surroundings. Everything was as advertised only better. Multiple entertainment centers allowed for all to be happy on rainy days and the spacious hot tub was a joy to get in after long hikes in the mountains. We will not hesitate to utilize this property again.
