Casita Elena was truly a homeaway from home

  • 5 of 5
I have had the pleasure of spending a month at Casita Elena, and cannot say enough about the wonderful landlords and the clean and beautifully decorated historic casita. I came here without my car, but it proved to be no problem, as stores and the center of town is in easy walking distance. The washer and dryer made the extended stay easy, and the generous start up provisions were very helpful. I have felt so cared for and highly recommend this beauty to anyone visiting the area. If you do bring a car, there is parking provided. The kitchen had plenty of utensils etc. to cook great meals, I really enjoyed the fireplace. You will want to come back!

Cozy romantic Santa Fe Casita!

  • 4 of 5
I took my wife on a surprise romantic trip to Santa Fe on the 4th of July weekend. She loved Casita Elena because it's pretty cozy and in walking distance to the Plaza.
Linda, the owner, was very thoughtful as she had a bottle of wine and some food for us to prepare breakfast.
We would definitely recommend this Casita to other couples.
Thanks Linda!

The location is very convenient to downtown. There is just about every creature comfort one could want. My only negative is the extremely loud air conditioner in the bedroom.

Wonderful and More Than Meets the Eye!

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I passed through Santa Fe twice on our last road trip to the Pacific NW and stayed here on the way home. We had located it on the way out and as it was fairly plain on the outside, we were a little worried about our decision.

However, we arrived at night in a huge rain storm to find the perfect downtown retreat. The inside was quiet, spacious, colorful, cozy and everything you could want. The fireplace was prepared, the fridge was stocked and as others had mentioned, most everything you would need was there.

It was great staying in such an old building that had been so thoughtfully restored and modernized. We were excited about having such a short walk to the square and Tia Sophia's for breakfast, but we ultimately decided to makes eggs, toast and coffee instead, since the kitchen was so nice and the morning light from the skylights so pleasant.

We found it such an easy location to come and go to, both in the car and on foot.

We will definitely look at coming back here next time!

Perfect casita in the perfect location!

  • 5 of 5
Casita Elena is perfectly located ... an easy walk to downtown Santa Fe, and in a nice neighborhood. The amenities were great and Linda and Tim are wonderful - very willing to help in any way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Charming and central!

  • 5 of 5
What a lovely place to stay! The pictures do not do it justice. The rooms are large with high ceilings and the decoration is great. There are lots of colors and interesting decorative pieces everywhere you look. The garden was just beginning to come up and it was a little green oasis in the middle of the desert. Lots of amenities and Linda was kind enough to leave some groceries to get me started. I felt at home right away. Really!

In terms of location it rocked. Five minutes by car one way and you were right in the Plaza. Five minutes the other way and there's the grocery store! And a little further either way for the highways for day trips. It was very central and easy to navigate from. It's off one of the man roads so it was a great starting point.

I was traveling alone and it was so nice to come back to a home at night rather than a hotel. It was particularly nice to come back to a comfortable and really charming place! I am very glad that I found this place - it added an extra level of enjoyment to my vacation. I recommend it highly.
