Guestbook comments from the owner

I'm not getting that so Ill just write it here and you write it for me and sigh it.

Dear Linda,

It took me 3 days before I noticed the mobile in the bedroom and another 10 before I noticed the rabbit in the kitchen!

What else is hidden in my charming, lovely casita?

I love that it felt like home from day one. You can see and feel the love that was put into it.....best of all Casita Elana has a sense of humor. I felt so at home, I truly did not want to leave.

I discovered De Vargus mall about a week before I left. You take a right on San Francisco St. till it practically runs into it. I loved Sprouts grocery store and the mall has a nice little movie theater.

The location is wonderful no matter which way your going. Thank you so much for my lovely stay.

Sincerely,

Jo Butler

Casita Elena was truly a homeaway from home

  • 5 of 5
I have had the pleasure of spending a month at Casita Elena, and cannot say enough about the wonderful landlords and the clean and beautifully decorated historic casita. I came here without my car, but it proved to be no problem, as stores and the center of town is in easy walking distance. The washer and dryer made the extended stay easy, and the generous start up provisions were very helpful. I have felt so cared for and highly recommend this beauty to anyone visiting the area. If you do bring a car, there is parking provided. The kitchen had plenty of utensils etc. to cook great meals, I really enjoyed the fireplace. You will want to come back!

Perfect Visit to Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5
Wonderful time in Santa Fe. Easy walk from the Rail Runner trail and to the plaza and Canyon Road. The décor is very stylish and comfortable, fun and colorful with a cozy fireplace. We were provided with breakfast material which was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Santa Fe Historical Casita

What a spectacular home base for a visit to Santa Fe. Private and quiet yet blocks away from the center of town. You are immersed in Southwestern culture in a beautiful home filled with lovely details. We couldn't have picked a better place for our first visit to Santa Fe and would certainly rent this home again.

Cozy romantic Santa Fe Casita!

  • 4 of 5
I took my wife on a surprise romantic trip to Santa Fe on the 4th of July weekend. She loved Casita Elena because it's pretty cozy and in walking distance to the Plaza.
Linda, the owner, was very thoughtful as she had a bottle of wine and some food for us to prepare breakfast.
We would definitely recommend this Casita to other couples.
Thanks Linda!

The location is very convenient to downtown. There is just about every creature comfort one could want. My only negative is the extremely loud air conditioner in the bedroom.

Wonderful and More Than Meets the Eye!

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I passed through Santa Fe twice on our last road trip to the Pacific NW and stayed here on the way home. We had located it on the way out and as it was fairly plain on the outside, we were a little worried about our decision.

However, we arrived at night in a huge rain storm to find the perfect downtown retreat. The inside was quiet, spacious, colorful, cozy and everything you could want. The fireplace was prepared, the fridge was stocked and as others had mentioned, most everything you would need was there.

It was great staying in such an old building that had been so thoughtfully restored and modernized. We were excited about having such a short walk to the square and Tia Sophia's for breakfast, but we ultimately decided to makes eggs, toast and coffee instead, since the kitchen was so nice and the morning light from the skylights so pleasant.

We found it such an easy location to come and go to, both in the car and on foot.

We will definitely look at coming back here next time!
