Don't pass up the opportunity to vacation in this truly special property! Located in the heart of Canyon road above one of Santa Fe's most esteemed art galleries, you can sip your morning coffee on your large private terrace with mountain views; you can have cocktails there as you watch the sunset.
You simply step out your door and spend the day browsing the gorgeous art galleries and shops on Canyon Road, then walk right across the street to Santa Fe's most elegant restaurant, Geronimo, for lunch or dinner. All of Santa Fe's museums are only a short walk away, as is the historic Plaza.
This 150 year old property is owned by art dealers who have lovingly appointed it with artisan-made details such as handcrafted plaster fireplace and walls, hand forged hardware, Mexican talavera and saltillo tiles, and of course gorgeous artwork!
The Master Suite is large, with a king-sized bed, two closets, and views overlooking the Canyon Road garden, with fountains and lush landscaping.
Special touches, handmade by local artisans : The master bedroom can be enclosed with handmade arched doors. The queen sized sleeper sofa is located at the opposite end of the rental, to ensure privacy. The dining room features a banquet table, for comfortable entertaining and intimate dinners during your stay.
This is an extremely rare and wonderful property with the best location in Santa Fe! We look forward to your stay!
I have now stayed in all the properties owned by the owners of this condo, and I have to say, you can trust their commitment to quality.
This is an absolutely charming one bedroom condo, which really does have the finest location in the town of Santa Fe. I stayed there in July, for a week, to see the Santa Fe summer opera. I almost want to keep this place a secret, it is so great.
It is upstairs, above the Turner Carroll Gallery and Desert Son boot store, located in one of Canyon Road's historic buioldings. If you don't know Canyon Road, it is the most charming little road in all of Santa Fe. This is where you will find the small boutique galleries and jewelery stores, that sell the finest and most unusual in art, jewelery, boots, and clothing.
I was delighted to discover that this condo is in the heart of the galleries and restaurants of Canyon Road. It is exactly across the street from the only five star (at least they say so!) restaurant in Santa Fe--the historic Geronimo restaurant. So, I could walk from the condo to look through Canyon Road galleries during the day, and then go have a cocktail and light dinner before heading off to the opera in the evening.
The condo is furnished tastefully with fine art and nice furniture. The bed was very comfortable and seemed new. The art was exceptional, being that it came from the gallery downstairs! The owners seemed to have tried to honor the history of Canyon Road, by incorporating antique rugs, handmade tiles, and New Mexican iron door pulls and the likes. The property shows great attention to detail. It would be perfect for a couple or a single person at any time of year.
Our second stay in the last 24 months in this wonderful pied-à-terre in Santa Fe. This unit is as advertised; clean, comfortable and charming in every way. The crew in the gallery are most helpful if needed.
Despite the centrality of the location in the middle of the Canyon Road gallery and restaurant district we have both noted the quiet late evenings and the ability to forget about big city distractions and simply enjoy the sublime elegance that is a cool Fall day in the high mountain climate of Santa Fe.
We rented this space for the month of September and LOVED it - the photos don't do it justice. The location can't be beat as it's right down Canyon Rd and walkable (or a 2-3 minute drive) to the Plaza, Railyard or just about anyplace you want to go or eat. You must eat across the street at Geronimo (hands down best dining experience in SF) and have a drink or two at El Farol. Art enthusiasts will find the space impeccably done. Being there a month we used the small but serviceable kitchen on a daily basis without issue. If you're a hiker or biker you have access to the Dale Ball Trails about a mile up Cerro Gordo Rd or the Atalaya mountain trails about a mile away at St. Johns college. The owners and gallery staff were all super friendly and accommodating and even welcomed our pet. We would stay here again - our month ended too quickly.
We stayed for a weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. This place has lots of Old Santa Fe charm with deep heavy hard woods, interesting architecture and art. The location is THE BEST, of course, being right on Canyon Road tucked in with the galleries. El Farrol is just across the street and was a little bit loud one night so we decided to join in for a local Motown evening with a live band. It's probably not ideal with kids/children but our calm and aritisitcally inclined (they love the galleries) 7 and 11 year olds did bunk up on the sofabed, which was just fine for them. A parking space is included in back (thank you!) and it's on the second floor so anyone not wanting to climb stairs should avoid. The kitchen had eveything we needed (we mostly ate out) and currently the washer/dryer is out of service. Warm friendly folks in the gallery below who "hosted" us. I felt very lucky to have found this place and able to get in! Loved it.
Great location and very clean and spacious! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to wander Canyon Road galleries!
This was the ideal place for my husband and I to stay on our first trip to Santa Fe. We could easily walk to the downtown Plaza area and were literally in the middle of all the galleries on Canyon Road. The property was exactly as advertised - it is a 130 year old building, so you should know that it will not feel exactly like a modern apartment. The authentic features made it the perfect Santa Fe experience!
While you vacation in our lovely space, you can enjoy a multitude of activities, such as: art gallery browsing in Canyon Road's exquisite galleries; the finest in gourmet dining on Canyon Road and the Plaza area; exploring the garden at Canyon Road's El Zaguan Gardens; spa treatments at La Posada Spa and Ten Thousand Waves Japanese Health Spa; bird-watching at the Audubon Society on Canyon Road; hiking the Dale Ball Trails on Canyon Road; visiting Santa Fe's incredible museums like the Museum of Fine Arts, Site Santa Fe, Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, Santa Fe Children's Museum, Spanish Colonial Arts Museum, Wheelwright Museum; Spanish Market and Indian Market; Santa Fe Opera; Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival; Upaya Zen Center; Cerro Gordo Park and Patrick Smith Park; Skiing at the Santa Fe Ski Basin; horseback riding; live theater; yoga; biking, and so much more--all this can be had by simply taking a walk out your door or a very short drive!

|Notes||This rental has been the most beloved in Santa Fe since it began in 1998. Almost 100% of our guests return every year, thinking of this lovely rental as their "home" in Santa Fe. The rental is licensed by the City of Santa Fe as a legally operated short term rental, of which there are very few licenses issued due to protective covenants in historic Santa Fe neighborhoods, so tax is required.|
