Short walk through the woods to Pemigewasset River for swimming and canoeing in summer and cross-country skiing in winter. Nearby Russell Pond, Mirror Lake and Franconia Notch State Park offer swimming and boating opportunities. Ski at major downhill and cross-country centers - Loon, Waterville Valley, Cannon and Bretton Woods. WMNF hiking trails to scenic overlooks, 4000'+ peaks and quiet ponds.
