Ideal Location to Enjoy California's Finest

We stayed at this beautiful home for a bachelorette party. The home was clean, the owner's were gracious, and the views were spectacular! However, the most overwhelming benefit of this house is its proximity to the town of Tiburon, San Francisco, and Napa. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon, picked up some great food and wine at a gourmet market down the road, and spent the evening in front of the fire catching up. The following day, we drove 5 minutes to the Tiburon-Angel Island Ferry and spent the morning walking around Angel Island. We hosted a reception for incoming guests in the spacious and tastefully decorated living room and then had a car drive us the 20 minutes to the bars of North Beach in SF. The following day, we took a car to Napa (50 minutes) and visited wineries and Oxbow Market. We returned to the house, prepared food in the well-equipped kitchen, and headed to Sam's in Tiburon. A cab home for 6 people was only $16. We could not have chosen a better property to enjoy our weekend!

A Wonderfull weekend

What a warm and peaceful place. We had an absolutely wonderful weekend here. We were immediately taken by the warm reception and amazing views from all over the house. The layout is very spacious and comfortable. The upstairs bedroom and huge deck in the back offered amazing views. This is a great location to quickly access endless attractions in the San Francisco area yet a very peaceful and private place to enjoy the views and relax. The Ferries are a great way to get around the area and see the sites. We took the ferry to Angel Island and the Tram tour around the Island which afforded the history of the Island as well as spectacular views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate. We would highly recommend this. Everyone in our group of 8 were immediately awed with the home and views and repeatedly said they definitely would like to return here again. Thanks Michael for sharing your amazing home.

Fantastic Weekend Getaway

Six of us ladies rented this lovely property for a weekend getaway from the city and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The owner greeted us upon arrival and offered us a quick tour of his home, located on a quiet private drive. He is a laid back gentleman with a great sense of humor and was helpful in offering up tips of where to go & things to do in the area...although we mostly found ourselves content with the view and sunshine that graced us on the wrap-around redwood patio. Just gorgeous!

The home is clean, comfortable & open, which is perfect for socializing. The kitchen has tons of space (open to the eating/living area) & is fully stocked with anything & everything you could possibly need. We were having such a great time that we didn't even turn on the tv, but we did take advantage of the ipod dock that connects to the stereo. The bedrooms are all a good size with comfy beds & french doors leading out to the wrap-around patio. There are 4 bathrooms with large showers (one tub) which made it helpful for everyone to get ready at the same time. We did venture out for a few hours to sit on the beach at Paradise Park, which is only a couple miles away–a cute park with grassy areas to play & pier fishing (i wish i had brought my fishing pole!). We spent our last night grilling on the patio and soaking in the hot tub overlooking the beautiful lights of the bay.

All in all, this place was exactly what we were hoping for and we loved it! I would definitely stay here again & highly recommend it. Perfect for a ladies weekend or get together with friends.

A group of us (5 couples) had a fantastic weekend in Tiburon. We had a great time grilling, using the hot tub and playing games. The home is spacious and the kitchen truly is fully stocked. There are 4 bedrooms so we were thinking a couple would have to stay in the den area of the master, but there's actually a pull out couch in one of the living rooms, so there was space for all of us. This home is lived in, with photos and books, so it feels cozy. We would love to come back!

First, the description was accurate regarding the location, and layout of the home. It was great for sightseeing. It did not however, describes the amenities well. There was no place to put your clothes.

Was the property clean and well maintained. NO. When we arrived at 5 pm, they were still cleaning up from a party they had the night before. The bathroom on the second level was bad. When you picked up the rug, there was all mold under it.

The BBQ grill did not work as well as the outside heaters. The diswasher did not work properly also.

The owners did work with us to provide closet and drawer space.

For the price of the home, we were greatly disappointed.

We did enjoy the town of Tiburon and the restaurants.

Owner's Response: The guest review was written more than one year after the guests stayed at our home.
I visited the home three times during the guest stay. 1) the bedrooms had closet hanging spaces. One of the bedrooms had articles in the drawers. I removed them. 2) the dishwasher was sticking during the wash cycle. the knob could be moved from the 6 o'clock position to finish the cycle. The repair service appointment was not available until after their departure. A new system has since been installed. 3) the carpeting in one of the two upstairs bathrooms had been pulled up due to hair dye stains from previous rental. A Martha Stewart shag rug had been placed over the plywood floor. There was water staining on the back side water from getting out of shower.
It was stained. It was not mold. Since then, all new ceramic tile has been installed in the two top floor bathrooms and the separate toilet closet.
I was not aware the BBQ wouldn't work. It works just fine. It is a propane tank system with electric start button. I don 't recall then guests bringing up a BBQ fault.

They did not mention that some wasps hanging around an upstairs window. I received a call a about this after 5 PM one afternoon and an exterminator was on the scene at 10AM the next morning to remove the wasps from an outside upper eve near third floor roof.
Other changes since the guest stay from October 2010.: All new hardwood floors in the kitchen,great room and dining room. Several walls have new paint and also new lighting fixtures. The large wooden outside decks have been stripped and re-finished..
Two new HD TV's.
