Just a two hour drive from NYC this newly refinished 5 bedroom, sun-drenched contemporary home is situated on a secluded cove with private lake frontage. There is plenty of room for the whole family. Relax on our huge deck overlooking the lake or take a dip off your own private dock. Our cove is just part of a 2.5 mile private lake community. While vacationing with us, enjoy all the amenities that Sleepy Hollow Lake has to offer. Two huge swimming pools, lakefront beach, tennis courts, basketball courts and playgrounds for the kids are all part of the package. Bar-b-que on our gas grill or dine out at one of the many fine restaurants in the surrounding towns of Athens, Catskill and Hudson. This home has been completely renovated, with 5 full bedrooms, 3 full baths, 4 fireplaces, modern kitchen, formal dining room, and 2 living rooms. We also have satellite television with VCR and DVD. A washer and dryer are available for your convenience.

We are located only a short drive from 10 area golf courses as well as a water park and the famous Catskill Game Farm. For winter fun we are a 30 minute drive from Hunter and Windham Mountains, not to mention ice skating and sledding right in your own backyard. Local farmers markets and antique shops fill the surrounding towns.

We recently rented this property for a nearby family reunion and were disappointed in our choice. This house has way too much "clutter"/nick-nacks for the renters to be concerned with. We have rented many houses all over the country and this is the first time we have come across a rental with this much "stuff". We actually had to move stuff out of the way so we would have space and be comfortable. Also, upon our arrival, the house was not even clean! The kitchen trash was half full, the bathrooms were dirty (had to clean them before we could use), the barbecue was gross, the refrigerator was packed with used food already, the appliances are way outdated/broken, and the "bunk room" mattresses smell like pee! The only strong points this house has are it's size and the fact it's located directly on the lake. This could be a nice rental if it were geared more toward renters, updated, and cleaned. We were able to make the best of our stay and had a fun time, thanks to good company and the lake! PS The homemade, giant cookies at Griffin's are to die for!
