This is a real Cape Cod home, as part of the building was floated over to the mainland from Billingsgate Island. On the first level, the house has a spacious living room, cozy kitchen, pantry, full bath, and homey dining room. On the second floor, there are four bedrooms and a second full bath. Two of the bedrooms have double beds. The third bedroom has two single beds and a walk-in closet. The fourth has a single bed. This house works well for families as well as for friends vacationing together. Surrounding the house, there is a spacious lawn. The house is nestled in a fairly quiet part of town. Location: Cape Cod < Massachusetts < USA

The home is a short walk from the center of town and a longer walk or short drive to the town harbor. Town center offers charming shops, a candy store, and fine dining, all just steps away. Wednesday nights at the harbor feature square dancing for all ages. Wellfleet Harbor Actor's Theater (WHAT) shows spicy plays through the summer season that usually always run before full houses. The library is also within walking distance, with up-to-date facilities, including internet access, movie rentals, games and puzzles, and a complete children's section. Special performances run at the library as well as at the local churches, which are treats to attend. Wellfleet center is surrounded by acres of National Seashore and speckled with kettle ponds. The ocean and Cape Cod Bay are a short drive away. Wellfleet Bay can even be reached by foot. At the Wellfleet-Eastham town line is a flea market that runs several days a week.

A comfortable home just outside town.

This is a wonderful rental home: comfortable, clean and located just a few blocks from Wellfleet town center.
The house is old but very well maintained, spotless floors, lovely linens and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything one could need to spend a week (or more) on the Cape.
Shopping, great restaurants and beaches are either a short walk or short drive away.
The owners of the property live nearby and have always been very helpful and friendly to us.
I would recommend this property with very few reservations (the staircase is steep, the ceilings are low, it could be a tough house to navigate with a disability) to families as well as a couple of couples with children.
It was especially good for us as we travel with teenagers and they were free to wander around town and return home without us.
