Close to Geneva, Waterloo, Seneca Falls, Watkins Glen, and Ithaca, this location offers something for everyone.
Close by are wonderful wineries making world class wines and they offer many activities throughout the year. You can enjoy fine dining as well as our many casual restaurants, some are waterfront too. For outdoor activities, there are over 5 State Parks within 30 miles, Sampson State Park being just 3 miles to the South. Our flat road outside the cottage is great for walks or bicycle riding. At Seneca Lake Park, just 10 miles North, there is a unique children's Sprayground, the only one in NYS.
There are marinas that offer boat rentals and you can rent bicycles as well.
There are museums, historical sites, antique shops, the Women's Hall of Fame, golf courses, a Premier Outlet Shopping Mall, as well as Finger Lakes Racetrack and Turning Stone Casino.
More things to Do:
Don't forget a visit to some of our wonderful nearby colleges such as Hobart and William Smith Colleges to the North and Cornell University and Ithaca College to the South. Watkins Glen, famous for Nascar racing, Corning Glass, Sonnenberg Gardens, the Museum of the Earth, Children's Science Center, and lots of Summer Theatre and Concerts are just some of the many varied activities our area has to offer.
While you are having fun, don't forget to take a boat ride on one of the beautiful Finger Lakes.
Within a few miles at the former Seneca Army Depot, you can witness the only herd of White Deer. Go at dusk to see them by the fence just off Rte 96A.
In the Cottage there are many brochures of most of these attractions as well as where to go food shopping and other useful information.

Of course you can choose not to go anywhere and just enjoy the serene beauty just outside the Cottage.
No matter how you spend your days, you will end your week having one of the best times and will look forward to returning to this beautiful area and this special Cottage.
