Just minutes to the quaint towns of Margaretville, Fleischmann's and Roxbury. 1/2 hour from Woodstock, 2 1/2 hrs from NYC. The chalet is fully equipped. Free wireless high speed Internet access.

We stayed here in the summer of 2007. This is truly an ideal vacation property. Views are tremendous and the deck is super. All of my vacations are working vacations, so I always need internet and cell phone. This is one of the limited number of areas up here that gets cell reception, and the owner has a device which allows you to connect to the internet. Everything was very clean, so there were no unexpected surprises. We enjoyed watching the woodchuck, he evidently lives nearby. Very quiet and peaceful. Thanks Lee for a nice vacation!
Owner's Response: It is important for me to know if my guests were or are happy with their stay. We welcome the feedback. I am so pleased that our visitors realize how special a spot it is (not to mention the woodchuck). Update: the phone company has upgraded the lines in our area and we now have high speed internet access. We are now offering this free of charge to our guests!

Perfect in so many ways....

My family and I spent memorial day weekend up here and I cannot stop smiling!!! The house is wonderful, the location is breathtaking and the scenery is out of a fairytale!!! If i could suggec=st any house it would be this one!! Thank you Lee!!!!!!

The location and views are beautiful and quiet; the chalet itself is really well maintained, clean and modern. The only reason I wouldn't give this chalet a five star review would be because I want to keep its existence a secret.

Spending time at the Chalet was truly an amazing experience for us... We suspected that the
views will be grand from the pics provided on the site, but
nothing compares standing/sitting on that porch or the couch looking at the ever-changing views .. From soft rolling clouds to lightning clouds to beautiful sunsets. The chalet is so cozy and inviting that it felt like home from
the moment we have arrived.. And bed is so comfortable..
We would definitely like to rent it again the future!!!..

LOVELY...

CABIN FEVER LOS ANGELES

We rented this cabin for New Year's '07. It was THE best idea ever!

It started snowing 2 hours after we got there and didn't stop for the next 4 days. Talking about paradise:) We had at least a foot of snow.

There were 6 of us- each couple had their own bedroom. 2 bedrooms are downstairs and one upstairs. We're in our late 20ies early 30ies.

The cabin is spacious, clean and warm with the most amazing views- the window just makes it. Unbelievable... Wood burning stove was the best part of the evenings... The kitchen is equipped in everything you may need during your stay- except for food:) We also found sleds in the shed- we put them to a good use sledding right outside the house at night:)

If you're looking for a relaxing time- this is your place. If you want some adventure- there are hiking trails nearby, great tubbing 20 min away, sledding.

Lovely towns and villages are also very close. We always drove to Margaretville to get groceries. Lovely antique stores, bars etc. Very cute.

Despite the snow the roads were very well maintained. We were surprised to find completely dry pavement at all times!

I absolutely recommend this place!
