Owner is published interior designer so house is bright, beachy and beautifully decorated. This is last house on private dead end street, no traffic, very safe for children. Large yard, barbeque, play area. Looks out at famous Mansion Row and features spectacular seascapes and sunsets. Swim in front of house in rocky cove or at nearby Easton's Beach; outdoor shower a plus! Living room and kitchen open onto spacious 36 ft. inviting deck with stairs to ocean. Dining room is separate with den/extra bedroom and full bath on first floor. Three bedrooms and full bath are upstairs. Air-conditioning available for those rare nights when the ocean breezes are still! 3 TVs, two flat screen HD's, Bose sound system. Pack only your clothes. Everything needed for a relaxing vacation getaway is right here!
One extra bedroom may be available in separate building right next door. This can work for family reunions, wedding parties, etc.
Can Arrange Golf Privileges at Private Course: Owner belongs to private local course and can arrange tee times for golf enthusiasts.
Reading Specialist or Tutor Available: State licensed Masters level reading specialist (my sister in law) in the area. Baby sitters provided if needed.
Grew up in this house, but spent most of my adult life in Boston. My mother passed away in 2002 and I moved back to Rhode Island. Have been renting on and off since that time. This is a very special house. Despite the tear downs and new construciton o Easton's Point, this house has remained the same and retained it's original cottagy feel.. My personal design style is eclectic and I love the use of color to create texture and bring life into my spaces. My room are comfortable and warm and I tend to lean toward a sophisticated quirkiness.

You will never want to leave the deck! The views are unique. The house looks out at Mansion Row to the west and to the south is open ocean often dotted with sailboats, cruise ships and tankers. There are interesting rock formations on the rocky beach below (about 10 feet from the deck and easily accessed) and there is a cove for swimming. 10 minutes down the road is a sandy beach, complete with merry go round and the best lobster rolls on the island -- TWO with fries for $12.95. The cool ocean breezes and spectacular sunsets make this cottage location one of the best on Aquidneck Island!
Our group was 6 adults with ages ranging from 22 to 55 and I must say we were bowled over by the quality and location of the cottage.
The accommodation is extremely comfortable and well-furnished and the location, looking towards Newport's Cliff Walk and the Mansions, with direct access to the sea, was ideal for our party.
We took full advantage, swimming and kayaking daily with access to the sea from the back garden. The veranda is a definite plus for relaxing and eating outdoors. We must have taken over 100 photos of the fantastic sunsets and access to the shops and attractions of Newport and the inter-state to get to Cape Cod or Boston is simple and quick.
A truly lovely property which we would recommend to everyone.
While house is on dead end quiet street, three beaches are closeby and downtown historic Newport is one mile from property. Visit Touro Synagogue, mansions or enjoy the famed music festivals. There's something for everyone...boat lovers, sports enthusiasts, art appreciators, fine diners... as well as many activities for children of all ages. We can help you plan your stay in the area!

4 night minimum stay
The low season is May 25 to June 30 and after September 7. Deduct $50 per night from rates.
The rates shown are the high season which is July and August.
We charge a cleaning fee of $85.00.
A non refundable deposit of one half the rental cost is due at the time of lease signing. The remainder plus security deposit is due upon arrival.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
