Lovely summer rental located one short block from quiet and pristine Broadkill Beach. New house sleeps 8 with all the comforts of home at the beach: impeccably furnished 3 bedrooms with 2 full baths, great room with cathedral ceiling combines living/dining rooms and country kitchen area.

Special features include: wrap around deck, screened porch with spacious outdoor living/dining area, roof deck with views of beach and wetlands, private sundeck and roomy outdoor shower/dressing area. House is equipped with all the amenities: central A/C, cable, DSL, complete kitchen with dishwasher and garbage disposal, full size washer/dryer, barbeque and beach chairs.

Broadkill Beach is located next to Prime Hook Nature Reserve for bird watching, nature walks and canoeing. The Hookery public golf course is less than 5 minutes from the house. Visit historic and quaint Lewes (15 minutes) for museums, authentic Victorian homes, upscale shopping and excellent restaurants.

Lewes is also home to Cape Henlopen State Park to experience beaches, Nature Center and extensive wetlands. No trip is complete without a visit to Rehoboth (25 minutes) to stroll the boardwalk, visit the amusement park, and eat world famous Boardwalk Fries!

impeccibly clean, private but not remote, a leisurely equivalent of two blocks to a vey private beach. Roads were quiet for bike riding and walking, and the area was a blessed respite from the carnival atmosphere of Rehoboth-(just a short drive away if you enjoy that type of thing-we did visit there twice for dining and the water park). Also check out the nearby town of Lewes for antiques, shops, great dining and the wonderful Cape Henlopen State Park-Again-not crowded. Absolutely beautiful nature preserve runs along the back of the property, accesible by about a 1 mile bike ride with fantastic well-maintained trails. Loved the outdoor shower too.

The house was perfect for our vacation - a nice common area for lounging and cooking, we very much enjoyed the screened in porch. The bedrooms were cool and sufficiently spacious. Loved the master bedroom/bath! The area is quiet, and except for the mud coral in the water - which seemed to be just about a 2 block radius north and south of this home, the beach was very enjoyable! Our 18month old loved to play in the gentle water, while the adults enjoyed the sun and relaxing on a floating raft out in the bay. The owner was easily available by phone to meet all of our needs, the house was very clean and had all of the utensils we needed for delicious home cooked meals every night of the week! We will be considering broakill beach for next year's vacation.

The property was clean, comfortable, well-lit and relatively quiet, even in July. It is easy access to Route 1 and a short drive to Lewes, Milton and Rehoboth Beach for provisions, dining, sightseeing or shopping. The Prime Hook Preserve is adjacent, and walking, biking or jogging are available and safe.
