This property is conveneintly located between the ocean and the sound, short walking distance to both with trolly available in season. It is clean, quiet, comfortable, well maintained, roomy and welcoming. Large enough to accomodate a family with children and pets and still have breathing room. the master bedroom is large, has queen bed, ceiling fan, jacuzzi tub and fireplace, shower and bath, and private deck. The second bedroom is large and has queen bed, ceiling fan and bay window overlooking front deck. Childs room is large, has twin bed, offering separate TV and VCR, with a large collection of family and childrens videos available to keep the kids busy when not outside. There is an additional full bathroom bewteen these bedrooms. The great room is large, offering a comfortable sofa, rocker/recliner and loveseat, TV/VCR/Stereo, celing fan. It is all open, with a large family size table (great for jigsaw puzzles) sliding glass doors opening onto private deck. Kitchen is well equipped and open via bar into living area (great place to visit and chat as you work on dinner together). There is a washer and dryer in hallway alcove. Did I say pets are welcome? If your 'fido' is a member of the family like ours is, you will be pleased to bring him/her along with you on your family vacation. The owner is people/dog friendly, personable and easy to communicate with - Not like some stranger from a rental agency!
This is a wonderful get away that will have you coming back again and again.
There are two full size supermarkets within 3- 4 miles of property, and too many to count, gift shops, restaurants, delis, bakeries, and specialty shops just up or down the street. A full size sports center with olympic size pool is right across the street and there are 3 oceanfront pools just up the street at the oceanfront complex. Everything is within convenient reach to keep you happy and active, no matter where your interests lie, from reading in a cozy corner, beachcombing, swimming, watersports, cooking, fishing, biking, kayaking, looking for wild horses, tennis, walking yourself or the dog along tree-shadowed trails covered with fallen pine needles in the sunset, to just falling alseep while relaxing on the back deck, enjoying the kiss of the ocean breeze. This is the Home Away From Home that I would recommend to anyone looking for that perfect getaway -- This is no 'tourist trap' - it is definitelyone of the Outer Banks best kept secrets!
