Cowee Valley Getaway

We had a wonderful vacation at Franklin, it's our first anniversary so we're looking for an adventure and romantic getaway. We're traveling with our 3years old Shih Tzu, so we need a pet friendly place. The home is exactly what we're looking for, quiet, cozy and very comfortable. Only a few minutes from Franklin, perfect place for rock hounding vacation because it's located just up the hill from Cherokee Ruby Mine the best unsalted mine in the area (we ventured different mines in the area to find out that the best place to mine is just right down the street). The owners of the home are the nicest people we have ever met, Raymond, Amanda and Mary are very accommodating, friendly and helpful.
This is the first time we rented a vacation home and it's the best thing we've ever did, now I'm a big fan of vacation rental. The home has everything we needed, eat-in kitchen and much appreciated laundry room. Comfortable queen bed, jack and Jill bath and second bedroom with 2 twins bed. Living room has nice comfortable futon and a oversize armchair and satellite TV! We grilled out almost everyday, gas grill was provided on the porch. The home has cover porch with 4 rocking chair walk out to small uncovered porch which was our pup's favorite spot we had to convinced him to come inside he had to much fun out there. We found a very good ice cream place downtown Franklin after visit couple of museums in town. We spent a day at Nantahala Outdoor Center, white water rafting is very tempting but the water still a little cold in May also we had our dog with us but we'll definitely plan to do that next time. So we're coming back again next year.
