Centrally located, half-way between the Trenton Bridge and Downtown Bar Harbor. This 2 bedroom 1.5 bath cottage can sleep a family of 4, pets welcome. It's located on a quiet road off Rte.3, a short walk to Hamilton Pond and a 10 minute walk to the ocean at Salisbury Cove. Fully equipped for all your vacation needs. There are two large bedrooms, one with two twin beds and one with a queen bed and half bath. The living room has a sofa that pulls out to a full futon bed. There is also a full futon sofa on the porch. The full bath is on the ground floor. We provide all the linens and towels you will need. There is Broadband Internet and Wireless, TV with cable, DVD, VCR, CD player and stereo. You will find that the kitchen has all the conveniences of home with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, along with all the dishes and utensils. There is also a washer and dryer for your convenience. The phone has free long distance. The Island Explorer provides free bus service on MDI.

We are halfway between the Trenton Bridge and Downtown Bar Harbor, in Salisbury Cove. We are less than two miles from the main entrance to Acadia National Park on Rte 3. Hamilton Pond and a trout stream offer freshwater fishing. At the end of the street is public access to the beach at Salisbury Cove. Evenings provide spectacular sunsets over the cove and a chance to view birds of prey and other indigenous wildlife. You can bike, take the free Island Explorer bus service or drive into town and enjoy whale watching, shopping or dinner at one of more than thirty restaurants in Bar Harbor alone.

Free Shuttle Buses: You don't need to waste gas, driving around Mount Desert Island. You can catch the FREE Island Explorer shuttle bus at Rt 3 and Norway Drive. It runs into the Village Green in Bar Harbor daily through the early Fall and runs every half hour. From the Village Green you can transfer to go to the Jordan Pond house or anywhere else on the island. You can even bring your bicycles on the bus. The Island Explorer features eight bus routes linking hotels, inns, and campgrounds with destinations in Acadia National Park and neighboring village centers. Clean propane-powered vehicles offer Mount Desert Island visitors and residents free transportation to hiking trails, carriage roads, island beaches, and in-town shops and restaurants.
