Here’s why you will enjoy dealing with Stephen & Annica. First, they are well educated. Stephen has a bachelors and master’s degree. Annica, who is originally from Sweden, also has a college degree. Second they are experienced with over 14 years managing rental properties. Because we are local, we can quickly address and resolve any issue that may arise vs. an absentee owner or home that is managed by a third party property manager. In addition, we can tell you where to get the best Greek food, tastiest ice cream, most delicious baked goods, or to-die-for pizza and gelato. The couple is committed to continuously improving the rental experience so they collect feedback from each visitor to make the home better for the next guest. They have been adding amenities for over 10 years so every guest experience is 5 stars (please see the reviews). Stephen has the local expertise of 30 years so he can help you make the most of your time in the area. The couple provides each guest with a personal tour of the home so they can get comfortable with their surroundings. The couple is easy going and are not high pressure sales types. Once you confirm your booking, it is a done deal. They do not play games by trying to rent the home for more money to another guest. The couple owns two other businesses in the area and has an impeccable reputation for integrity.
Stephen Annica purchased this house in 2003

Food & Drink
If you enjoy eat and drink, then you will love our home as it is walking distance to 50+ restaurants, bakeries, and bars. The famous sponge docks area is just a short walk and has many fantastic dining options and we will make sure you know the local favorites. Also, if you prefer to make your own food or have a cookout. we have a grill and all the pots, pans, dining ware, and utensils.
Florida is famous for fishing and many world records are caught in our waters. If you like to fish, you can try your luck 24/7 on your own private dock. My parents moved to this street when I was 11 and I have fished here for 30+ years. I have caught probably 100 species of fish and crabs over the years just from the dock. We provide fishing poles so it's easy to give your luck a try.
If you are a wildlife fan, you are in luck. Our home is directly on the water, so you never know what you will see each day. Guests have seen dolphins, manatees, sting rays, crabs, many types of fish, ospreys, pelicans, egrets, cranes, herons, gulls, and many additional birds
The day before our trip to Florida my 20-month old daughter came down with the H1N1 flu. She was absolutely miserable and her doc wanted us to start the meds right away and it was apparent that we would NOT be starting our vacation the next day. Stephen and Annica were extremely understanding and they told us to "get better and come when you can!". Once my daughter was over the flu they worked with us to arrange a new vacation date, all at no additional cost. I only wish the airlines were as accomodating :)
The house is very easy to get to and is exactly as depicted in the online pictures. I'm a neat freak and the house was very clean. I loved that there was a full washer and dryer at the house. The living room and kitchen are all open so it's easy to visit with family while making dinner. My daughter enjoyed all of the toys, especially the big red car (I think we may need to buy her one now).
My husband enjoyed fishing off the dock. We caught a crab but decided to let him go. We also saw dolphins playing, a surprise I wasn't expecting.
We went in November so the weather was a bit cooler. We heated up the pool every day and it was very enjoyable. This is an excellent house, I highly recommend it.
This waterfront home is in a beautiful location. The listing gave an accurate description of the location, amenities, and the layout of the home. Everything that a family needs is provided to make your stay comfortable. All you really need to do is pack your clothes and personal items that you want to bring. The home is in a great location. There are grocery stores, a meat market, a store to buy freshly caught fish and a bakery just a short walk or bike ride away. The beaches are so close and if you want to take a trip to Clearwater, its really not that far of a drive.
The owners provided an excellent level of customer service. They are easy to get in contact with and go out of their way to make sure that your stay is going well. They take the time to personally meet you when you arrive at the home to give you a tour, answer any questions, give you any suggestions as to fun things to do, restaurants in the area, and make sure that all your needs are met.
We would definitely recommend this property to family & friends!
This is a five Bedroom Luxury Waterfront Home that is also the family beach house. We loved the house, the location and the detail of the interior and exterior design. My family were taking a Florida road trip for two and a half weeks and we stayed in Tarpon Springs for four nights. We wished it could have been more.
Stephen and Annica (owners) welcomed us on 26 September 2013. They could not have been more helpful and generous with their time. We were given a tour of the whole property with explanations of all the facilities and lots of hints and tips. My family had not visited Florida for around 15 years, so we quickly caught up with the best location for viewing the sunset (Sunset Beach 5 minutes away and waterfront sunset from the first floor deck!), the restaurants in Tarpon (our favourite was Rusty Bellies), the best fresh fish counter (also Rusty Bellies - next to the Restaurant), the best place to hire a boat and much more.
Over the next few days we enjoyed the pool and spa, fished off the dock (all equipment provided, we just needed bait), cooked steak on the barbeque, dolphin watched, bird watched (resident Osprey on occasion but we weren't lucky and Heron) and watched the water traffic go by. We had many meals, drinks, cups of tea and Oreo cookies at the large table on the deck and also got competitive in the games room. My sun-loving niece took up residence in the hammock.
After the location, the greatest praise must be for the decor and equipment in the house. There is more than enough cooking equipment for the most serious cook, enough cutlery and plates for many meals for a large family, a well equipped laundry room and even a frozen cocktail maker. Can't think of any equipment missing.
Next time we will stay for a whole two weeks. It was our favourite house of our trip, by some distance, and on our favourite stretch of coast.
We've just had a fantastic 10 days here! Stephen & Annica met us when we arrived & gave us a full tour of the house which made us feel so welcome & meant we knew how everything worked straight away. Its a gorgeous house with so much provided to settle you in (towels, tea, coffee, toys, bikes etc etc). Everything on the property is spotless! The pool is beautiful, you can see ray & other fish from the dock or take out the canoe & try your hand at fishing. Best of all is just to relax on the balcony & take it all in!! We loved the Tarpon Springs area too! We had stayed in Orlando on our 1st family trip to Florida & this has little town has so much more character. Our favourite places were the Spongedocks, Toula's Trailside Cafe on Sth Safford Ave just off Tarpon Ave and the delicious Dairy Rich icecream parlour a couple of miles South on 19A. Publix nearby is great for shopping & for overseas visitors like ourselves, lots of great takeaway food nearby esp Mike's Sushi & Sonny's BBQ (kids loved Papa John's pizza beside Publix). Nearly forgot the gorgeous sunsets! Its a great base for the Tampa area & an easy drive to Orlando for park visits. Stephen & Annica were wonderful hosts & we had a wonderful holiday. We would highly recommend it!
Cannot recommend this house and area more for a great week! House (including furnishings, housewares, gas grill, tons of beach towels, etc.) was top-notch. Pool and hot tub were great. Views of water (including wildlife and the local Canoe Club) were outstanding. Tarpon Springs is a really cool place. Hosts Stephen and Annica go out of their way to assure that you have a good experience, including recommending restaurants (more on that later) and offering their cell numbers in the event of any issues/questions.
House is quite large, with ping pong and stereo in the basement, which kept our teenagers happy (along with pool and hot tub), large family room and adjoining kitchen/bar area for TV viewing/gathering area for adults (and XBox, again, for the teenagers). Kitchen is extremely well-equipped, including a wine refrigerator!
Beaches? Sunset Beach and beach at Howard Park are 3-5 mins away and Clearwater Beach is only 30 mins away.
Restaurants? Don't miss Mr. Souvlaki's, Hella's (save room for dessert, with adjoining bakery - unbelievable!), Rusty Bellies or Smokin Out! In other words, best of all worlds...Greek food, seafood and southern barbecue!
I spent hours online looking for the right home to host my small family in a warm location. It was difficult to find a home that would be safe for my 2-year-old as well but that also had a pool, hot tub, and modern amenities. This home hit a home run on every level.
Toddler amenities: 2 baby gates, 2 high chairs, pack n play with linens provided, play kitchen, ride-in play car, beach toys, the list goes on and on
Adult Amenities: heated pool, hot tub, Weber grill, basement is also the garage so there's tons of space to play, ping pong table!, bikes for the whole family, TVs in all rooms, linens for all beds and towels provided, garbage bags, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, and all those annoying little things you normally have to buy are INCLUDED!
We just loved this house, the water, and the area. Tarpon Springs is a community of lovely people and great food. The beach at Howard Park is amazing. The Lowry Park Zoo was a fantastic time. Stephen and Annica gave us great recommendations and checked in on us to make sure we were having fun and didn't need anything. We can't wait to go back to the house next year!
Beautiful beaches (1.7 miles or 3 minutes from the home), shops, winery, antique stores, restaurants, wonderful golf courses and tennis courts, Scuba diving, snorkeling, paddle boating, windsurfing, surfing, jet skiing, fly fishing, biking, sailing, boating, water skiing, para sailing, deep sea fishing, pier fishing, gambling, ice skating, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, amusement parks, water parks, fine dining, easy drive to Disney World, Epcot, MGM, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Sea World and much more.
