This charming Yankee barn is located at the end of a country dirt road in the mid-island town of pristine Chilmark. Decorated with antique and art accents, and filled with a sense of home. Following a dip in the ocean, continue the mood of easy summer living using the outdoor shower before lighting the gas (or charcoal) grill to dine on the island's bounty, or to entertain friends on the wrap-around deck. A ceiling fan in the cathedral living room, and sky light windows in all second floor bedrooms capture the caressing summer breezes. A second floor TV loft is perfect for early rising children.

Somerset Maughm, a noted English author, said of his 1940's visit to The Vineyard: 'There's nothing to do and no time to do it'. Time spent here is devoted to reacquainting yourself to yourself and your family as you dip in the ocean, build sand castles, bike, hike, take yoga classes, picnic, fish off the bluff for dinner, go to Menemsha for an ice cream cone, or watch the sunset on the Vineyard Sound from a cliffside perch in Aquinnah. A glass of wine in hand is recommended. Menemsha, Lucy Vincent, Edgartown, and Squibnocket beaches are equally inviting - perhaps your biggest vacation decision!
