MODERN AND CHILD FRIENDLY APARTMENT ON A PRIVATE ROAD IN ISLINGTON

Islington Apartment Rental Photos and Description

2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with simple décor and comfortable furnishings

Keep on moving

There’s a real energy to Clare Lane, a sense of onward motion that propels you through its wide, bright rooms. Travel books are everywhere, and the walls are hung with maps of remote lands and photos of distant sunsets. Your hosts have been far and wide and they understand the importance of home. If you’ve a taste for adventure, Islington’s just the place. Its restaurants serve a truly global range of cuisines, while Sadler’s Wells plays host to dance companies of international renown. Meet a cockney or two in Chapel Market, bag a bargain in an Upper Street boutique or jump on a bus into the West End. Once you’ve started exploring, it’s almost impossible to stop.

Around and about

Your host is from Poland and your hostess hails from Brazil. They’ve lived in Clare Lane for over seven years, and they and their neighbours have become firm friends. They’re often jetting across continents with their young children to visit their families – but when in London, they almost never need leave Islington.

Setting off

An open plan living space is lit by floor-to-ceiling windows, with views down into the cobbled mews below. There’s an enormous corner sofa upon which to browse your hosts’ outstanding collection of travel literature. The dining table seats six and if you’ve work to do, there’s also a handy office area. The kitchen and bathrooms are fresh and modern, and whether you’re taking a power shower or luxuriating in the master ensuite, you’ll relish our White Company toiletries. There’s a cute child’s room, and a calm and sunny master bedroom.

On the horizon

A walk down Essex Road takes you to Upper Street, the backbone of Islington. Here, you’ll find a huge range of restaurants, from beloved neighbourhood bistros to swanky new openings. The cafes heave with young families, while the bars stay open into the small hours. For a little tranquillity, take a stroll through historic Canonbury, one of the city’s loveliest neighbourhoods. And if you’re heading into town, catch a 38 bus, or, the tube from Angel to Leicester Square takes around twelve minutes.
