This is a beautifully landscaped 2-story home on the northeast corner of Stony Lake in Oceana County with lots of acreage. From one of the 2 decks, all you see is Stony Creek, Stony Lake, and a huge marsh (very secluded). Large frontage on Stony Creek in front of the house and access to Stony Lake is a short walk down a path. Beautifully landscaped tiered lawn with manicured lawns and tons of flowers. Access to private boat launch included. Only looking for respectful renters. Families, adult couples, or senior citizens preferred. Rental week is Saturday 3 pm to Saturday noon.

Nearest Airport: Muskegon County at 20 Miles
Nearest Ferry: Muskegon or Ludington at 35 Miles
Nearest Motorway: US31/Stony Lake Rd. at 10 Miles
Car: recommended
Stony lake is not very busy and is great for sailing, water skiing, swimming, and fishing, and access to a private boat launch is included. At the other end of Stony Lake is a creek that flows into Lake Michigan and is great for a relaxing 1-2 hour tube ride. There are several public beaches nearby on Stony Lake and Lake Michigan. For entertainment, Silver Lake is just 8 miles to the north and has gorgeous sand dunes and lots of rides (dune rides, go-karts, water slides, shopping, etc.).

I spent my summers at stoney lake as a kid in the 60's and our family still have a few cottages there. We had a family reunion and our families cottages were full so we rented this one. We were the envy of our entire family. This is one of the best fews on the lake. The Swans and Ducks swim in the Creek in front of the cottage every morning. Very Peaceful and the Flowers in the garden are just so beautiful. I would highly recomend this cottage as a romantic get a way or a Family get to gether.

Our Summer vacation at Stony Lake House

My family so enjoyed our one week stay. We have 3 kids ages from 7-13 and there was enough space in the house for everyone and certain enough to do for everyone. The house is secluded and really makes you feel like you are in your own sanctuary. The little creek running in front of the house provides so much entertainment from bird watching to just hearing the sound of the water. We saw alot of birds we'd not seen before. We used the canoe almost every day and loved it. The grounds are incredible with beautiful landscaping and gardens. The inside of the house is very comfortable and well taken care of. I hope to be able to go back next summer. Thanks to your wonderful family for sharing the house with us.
