Great area for antiques or foliage trips. Near outlets for shopping. The Red Lion Inn, Norman Rockwell Museum, Litchfield Center, White Flower Farm all all close by for day trips.
Views down the full length of the lake from beds,fireplace and numerous books and videos make 'nesting' a wonderful time as well.
Other Activities: kayak and canoe rental-can be delivered. Two pedal boats come with the home. There is a sports center with go carts, paint ball, batting cage, miniature golf,go carts, video games close by. There is also a skate board park and the only cabaret movie theater..have dinner and watch a movie.
Burr Pond is a lovely beach/walking area as well and rents canoes. Antiques and art abounds in the Litchfield Hills,.Tubing on the Farmington River is also another favorite.
