Woodford Vacation Rental cottage

The rental is actually much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside with ample sleeping for 10. Although the rental is close to a main road, it was amazingly quiet 1) inside from outside traffic and 2) inside each bedroom from indoor noise. The owner's instructions/directions are a perfectly described. It really feels like you are staying at a friend’s house that knew you were coming and made sure you would have everything that you would need. The house is well stocked with everything (with the exception of sheets, towels and food) more than we would have expected. The condition of the property when we arrived was clean from the previous tenant and not a cleaning service....impressive! The owner is very accommodating and also very prompt in responding to e-mail or voicemail. The rental has a nice open layout so that you are able to interact with everyone in any part of the "common area". There are just 5 houses on the street, two on each side. We did see one neighbor briefly who was quite nice. The fishing was great and the paddle boat was a blast! It was also nice that there were no motor boats on the lake. Everyone in our party agreed that it was the perfect atmosphere for our family weekend away and undoubtedly well worth the owner’s rental fee.
