Gift of peace

Gina36 South Boardman, MI
Review Submitted: October 7, 2006 Date of Stay: July 2006
We called - they said "Please come!" We are so glad we did! It was a match made in heaven. Jan and John have a great thing going there. It is like going to grandma's house for a visit. There were even cookies in the cookie jar! They are such a delight. You can tell that they like serving people. I did not have to bring a thing but food and we went home with clean laundry! The float down the river is our most favorite, where you can see the blue herons and turtles galore. We definitely call it our home away from home. We will be going back.

Great Time

Review Submitted: July 13, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Thanks Jan and John-We had a great time. Very peacefull and private. We had everything needed provided to us, right down to coffee for the coffee pot.My Granddaughters had plenty to play and do with and were never bored at all. We canoed the river and fished. Jan gave us so much info about the local area and things to do that my family never just sat around-This is a place we would visit again and recommend to others. Jan and John once again thank you very much and we look forward to visiting you again and of course I cant go anywhere without my Granddaughters and that is how I like it, GOD BLESS, Sincerely Thomas and Diane from Oklahoma.

Home away from home

Just the two of us Westland, Michigan
Review Submitted: July 12, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
My husband and I had a wonderful time this past week at Hilltop. We have stayed in 4 star hotels that can't hold a candle to the personal service of the host's Jan & John. From the moment we arrived we knew we had found a gem. The cottage home was clean and stocked with anything you might need. A personal touch, that showed you the owners truly cared. My warmest memories will be of fishing off the dock that overlooks the river. The deer coming down to drink early in the morning. The little finches that took up home in the tree's that surround the property. The quiet town and the friendly people who live there. If your seeking a place where family comes first, then Hilltop is the place for you.

Love this Cabin!!!!!

The Savage Mom Nebraska
Review Submitted: July 2, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
My children and I recently stayed at Hilltop for two weeks during our vacation from Nebraska! This is the second time we had rented this cabin. When we come to Michigan again this is the first place we will call! The cabin is clean, spacious, and the floor plan is well thought out for Guests.
Jan and John are the nicest hosts. The cabin is well stocked with everything, Just bring your clothes, and take a trip to the store for food. I recommend this cabin to anyone planning on staying in Big Rapids, Reed City area
as it is conviently located to both, yet on quiet country road.

A great place to stay!

Mid-Move Stanwood, Michigan
Review Submitted: June 3, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
My husband and I stayed at the 'Hiltop' house for a month in May while we were relocating from out of state. We had had a wonderful experience. Jan and John couldn't have been more accomodating or thoughtful - they've stocked the house with absolutely everything you could need! The home is situated on a bluff overlooking the river with a beautiful view and wildlife galore. Over all, it was a great place to stay!
