LAKESIDE POSITION, GARDEN STRETCHING DOWN TO THE BEACH, WITH SPECTACULAR LAKE AND MOUNTAIN VIEWS

Guests can easily buy internet access (via a dongle) at any phone shop in Reykjavik; it is relatively cheap. Mobile phone reception at the cottage is excellent and there is a little pub / shop called Kaffi Kjós, 800 metres down the road, which is open all summer and on or selected dates during winter. It has a full license, a bar and a restaurant, is a general store, and the people who run it are very friendly.

The local amenities are in Mosfellsbær, a 30 min drive. there you will find banks, bakeries, supermarkets, post office, doctors surgery, car mechanics etc.

Kaffi Kjós is a general store, pub and restaurant a 10 minute's walk along the lakeside road. It is open during the summer months and on a few selected dates during winter. There is a wonderful swimming pool in Mosfellsbær called Lágafellslaug; it has a 25 metre pool with lots of lanes, 3 water slides, a sauna, steam bath and hot pots. It charges no more than around £2 for adults and half that for children. Highly recommended.

All payments must be make in advance and there is a deposit of £250 for breakages or professional cleaning if tenants have failed to clean properly themselves at the end of their stay.
