Attractive and spacious 3-4 bedroom home for rent on beautiful Chebeague Island Maine. Located in Casco Bay, near Portland, this house is about a 'stones throw' from beautiful beaches and the sandbar to Little Chebeague. It is also 1/4 mile from the recreation center, which has heated outdoor Olympic size pool, tennis court, fitness and gym facilities, playground and baseball/soccer field. The house has a large private backyard for your quiet enjoyment. The interior is fully furnished and recently updated with new floors, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV/DVD. Master bedroom is very large, with queen bed and bright windows overlooking the backyard. A smaller bedroom also has a queen bed, and a third room has bunk beds for the kids. There is a second family/living room which doubles as a fourth bedroom with its queen-size futon. This room also has a wet-bar and mini-fridge and opens up onto the deck. Everything is on the ground floor in this ranch-style home.

Location: Portland and Casco Bay Area < Maine < USA

Nearest Airport: Portland, ME at 20 Miles
Nearest Beach: beach at 0.2 Miles
Great Chebeague Island is a lovely summer and year-round community in Casco Bay Maine. It is easily accessible by ferry from both Portland and Yarmouth, Maine. The Island boasts a beautiful 9 hole golf course overlooking the inner bay. There is a tennis club, a recreation center, a general store, a boatyard/marina, a post office, a library, school, grange hall, and Church. The Chebeague Recreation Center, a quick walk from our house, has a heated outdoor pool, tennis court, fitness and gym facilities, playground and athletic field. The Rec Center offers swim lessons for children on a weekly basis, as well as other recreational and craft activities for kids. There are several beautiful beaches on the Island, one of the nicest of which is about two football fields from our front door. 'The Hook', as it's called, is a sandy beach facing easterly toward open ocean, other islands, and the city of Portland (come in early July and see Portland's 4th of July fireworks across the bay).
