The house is in Monument Beach, which is in the town of Bourne. Bourne is a quiet, accessible Cape Cod town which is 'off the beaten path' relative to more well-known towns. It is a wooden 70 year old beach house with a private beach, Take a virtual tour of the house: http://sharing.theflip.com/session/9d99860f321671ef5e8ca5e9f002ef04/video/6550263 The house is relatively large, with a deep porch wrapping around half its perimeter, half of which faces the beach. The house was recently renovated. All of the bedrooms have picture windows, and only one of the four bedrooms lacks stellar water views. The house is situated on Phinney's Harbor, which is the first harbor south of the Canal on Buzzards Bay on the Cape side of the Bridge. It is a fairly deep harbor with warm water and terrific sailing conditions. The house is West facing, and blessed with perfectly stellar sunsets

Adjacent to the property is a park with a jungle gym, swings, a basketball court, tennis courts and a field adequately large for a pick-up game of baseball. One appealing feature of the house is its accessible location. Due to its proximity to the Bourne Bridge, it is easy to get to. One can frequently make the trip to the house from Boston in less than an hour and a half, even on Friday afternoons. This means that if not everyone in the family is on vacation during the rental, everyone can at least be together on the evenings.

The porch and view is wonderful! The home is very well layed out and there is plenty of room for everyone. We had a wonderful time and the home is located close to Woods Hole for day trips to Martha's Vinyard. The sunsets are stunning.

We will never forget 7 Arthur Ave! LOVED IT! The views, the beach, the park, the lawn...PERFECT! The house was the icing on the cake, there were so many rooms and places for everyone(5 adults and 5 kids) to be, it was great! The windows really bring in the perfect breeze, it was ideal. Monument beach area was wonderful to walk around and enjoy the town...we especially loved the Beach Street Bakery! There is a train that goes by and the kids just loved it. The house had everything we needed and was clean. Thank you to the O'Connell family for sharing your amazing house, we hope to visit the Cape again someday!

A much belated thank you to you and your family. We had a lovely stay in Monument Beach. Your home is probably the most well laid-out and comfortably furnished that we have ever rented (we have rented quite a few!).

Please thank your sister for lending us the tennis rackets and sharing her beach fire. It was really nice to have them next door.
