My whole family & I were very pleased with this rental. We've learned from the past few years renting in the white mountain area as to what our needs would be & this was it! Also in the past other owners have mislead us a bit on things like the distance the water was from their rental homes or location to nearby attractions but not this time. There were a few small issues with this rental but it's hard to please 100% of the people 100% of the time. There was no working vaccum to clean floors with & the floors quickly got covered with lake beach sand, that was bothersome especially when the sand traveled into beds from feet. The back yard itself leading to the water could be landscaped & manicured better. Check out time seemed a bit early also (10am) only because of having to launder all sheets & have folded & put on beds at departure. It was a close call with 12 people but in a mad dash we did it.
We were a party of 5 adults & 7 kids ages 18,14,14,8,6,4 & 4. This was the perfect place to be with the varried age range. We do own a boat & that made a huge difference I think, with out it the older kids may have been board after the first few days. The fishing was great too, for the kids & adults. In all we really had a wonderful, relaxing time at this large, beautiful home. This may just be the house we'd like to return to year after year!
