The home was lovely and very spacious. We took the entire family (11 of us) and everyone had enough space. It was a gated community so we felt very safe. Staff was very friendly and helpful on anything we asked. I would stay again.
This home was fine for our stay. We only had 7 people, so my two girls were thrilled to each have their own bedroom with an attached bathroom. The house would have easily accommodated several more people. The pool area was really nice to sit around, though with temperatures reaching only into the 70s the week we were there, the kids were the only ones brave enough to swim. We appreciated the pack'n'play and high chair for our baby, and that the house was very obviously clean.
That said, I think some very basic maintenance would benefit this property. There were so many burned out light bulbs the kids started keeping a tally. 3 of the 5 toilets need adjustments so they don't constantly run. Every time we flushed, we had to lift the tank cover and pull the chain out from between the flapper and drain. The door to the balcony in one bedroom doesn't close all the way, allowing street noise to interrupt sleep (the house backs up to a busier road). I'm sure the maintenance staff would have fixed the lights and toilets but honestly, we were only at the house to sleep, and spent all day at the parks so we only had to deal with it when we returned. I am surprised these basic things aren't found/reported by the cleaning staff. Adding to the unmaintained feel, there was baseboard trim missing in many places, so you could see the gap between the wall and floor. The house could use a coat of paint. The walls were full of scuff marks, places the paint was peeling off, and white patches where holes had been repaired but not repainted. The paint and baseboards are just cosmetic and didn't take anything away from our vacation, but along with the light and toilet issues, it definitely increased the feeling that the house could use a little love.
Also, the home isn't stocked with anything. Any prospective renters should make sure to bring or buy their own dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, and even garbage bags. Having rented 20+ vrbo properties from coast to coast, we were surprised at the lack of basic supplies.
We found the house to be at minimum 25 minutes from most Disney parks and 35 minutes from Universal. It was definitely a plus for us to have the house a bit further from all the activity, so we felt like we were getting away from everything at the end of the day.
We absolutely loved this home. In fact, we cancelled an upcoming on-property disney stay and rebooked here again for December of this year. The home has every amenity you could want or need, it's 15-20 minutes from disney, quiet, extremely spacious, and beautiful. We hated to go home. We are very much looking forward to December.
Well maintained and clean. Great Owners who provide quality service in everyway.
I would first like to thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. We have been to Orlando many times before as a group but I have to admit, this time far exceeds all the other trips. Although we visited the parks and beaches, we still think that the house was the best part of the trip. It was a vacation within itself. Thank you again and we hope to do business with you again in the near future. God Bless.
This was a great house to stay with our family very large rooms and clean. The only down side was there was no gas grill and the pool could have been cleaner. Well worth the money. We can't wait to come back next year. Thank you Bond Family for allowing us to stay in your home. The Gionet Family
