In Corolla, there are a number of attractions and activities for your family to enjoy. Within walking distance of the home is the Currituck Lighthouse. Just south a few yards is the Whalehead Club - a restored home now used as a museum which sports walking trails on its sound side property. Just four miles north of the home is the 4 Wheel Drive beach - a 5-10 mile stretch of pristine beach that has no roads; where one might still see the wild horses that have made Corolla famous. If you do not have a 4WD vehicle, there are 'outback' tours available. For the kids, there is mini golf, go cart racing, bumper cars, paddle boats and an arcade at the Timbuck II shopping center - adults can browse the many fine shops while the kids are entertained. There is also para sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and wave running available through several companies in the area.

  • Rates include cleaning, security deposit insurance, linens and towels, beds made, and credit card processing charges. Optional additional charges: Trip insurance -- 6.5% and propane for the heated pool -- weekly fee varies based on the time of year. The pool is available from March 27, 2010 (if propane heat is contracted for otherwise, beginning of May) through October 30, 2010. Weddings and other special events carry an additional charge of $1,250 which includes wedding insurance as well as the extra cleaning, garbage removal, and post event carpet cleaning, etc. et.

We just celebrated our 60th anniversary in your lovely home, needless to say, we had a great time. All of our children and their families were there with us. The Sea Esta was just what we wanted. The boys especially enjoyed the game room and pool table. I didn't expect all of the amenities in the kitchen and was pleasantly surprised. You have done a great job outfitting the house. We will definitely consider a return visit some day.
Just a suggestion, maybe you should repair the screens and sliding screens on the doors so they will slide more easily. A maintence check-up would be a good idea. A few of the outside overhead lights are falling out of place. We realize the salt and sand can be brutal on hardware. Thanks again for making a special occasion a great one.

We loved the panoramic view of the ocean from all the windows, the long dining room that could seat all of us, and the comfy living room -- a great place for a reunion weekend like ours. Kitchen was particularly well-equipped and nice for several people to work in at once. Beds comfy, too. You might consider redecorating the red bedroom on 1st floor. Thanks for making it easy to rent your house.

This was the first stay for my siblings and myself at the Sea Esta in Corolla for our annual retreat.

It was wonderful. The home was exactly as advertised and more. We found it clean well stocked and elegantly decorated. We felt very comfortable and right at home. This is an annual trip and Sea Esta truely shone among previous destinations

The proximity to the beach was great..I had the opportunity to run on the beach every morning at sunrise and watch the sun set from my balcony..what more could you ask for.

My own personal kitchen should be so well stocked with the latest appliances..although I did wonder why no garbage disposal in such a truly wonderful home. But that was a minor issue. Again everthing was absolutely wonderful.

The Twiddy staff was also helpful and extremely nice.

We stayed at the Sea Esta and had a marvelous time. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. We liked having our own bathrooms! The view was fantastic and we got to use the pool even though we rented in the off-season. We would definitely do this again.

We have been vacationing in OBX for 4 years now and "Sea Esta" is the BEST house yet! It is difficult to find a house "ocean front" that allows pets. We found your home to be very comfortable and it has everything. We loved it so much we already rebooked for next year. Thank you.
