Fans over every bed, and lots of windows keep those bay breezes blowing. Set in the deck, a large hottub, facing the sunset. It's really an amazingly beautiful location. If you know Ocean Beach, it's a casual barefoot, no cars place with quaint boutiques and restaurants surrounding an old-fashioned village green. You're in a quiet set-apart space, perfect as a writer's retreat, or just for renewing creative energies and only minutes from all the stores, as well as the ocean side of the island with its world-class beach.

From elegant dining, to creative pizzas, from high-end fashions to discount beach chairs, there's nothing that is missing from this ideal summer vacation spot. Late night discos too, if that suits you. One of the pluses is that it is a national seashore featuring a wondrous 'Sunken Forest.' Taking a walk to the Sunken Forest is truly a delight. And, with a private dock, you can moor a boat or invite others to tie-up for an afternoon cocktail. All very laid back and unpretentious, no Hamptons here.
