Bernard House is a two story seven room historical home in the fishing village of Bernard, on Bass Harbor, Mount Desert Island. Located just 20 minutes from Bar Harbor and close to Acadia National Park. The cottage sits on an outcropping of ledge above the lane and is surrounded by just under an acre of lawns, moss covered ledges and forest. The open floor plan allows views through floor to ceiling windows and the decks surrounding the first floor maintain privacy. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, a full kitchen, dining room, sun room, and living room with granite fireplace, as well as a full bathroom and office on the first floor. Even in inclement weather this home remains bright and enjoyable!

Desert Island and Acadia National Park - Hiking, bicycling on carriage roads, kayaking on lakes and ocean, visiting museums and a lighthouse, whale watching, shopping, dining at lobster pounds and restaurants, sailing, and riding ferries to out islands.
