Time to relax: There is something to do for all ages, and tastes. If you want more of a relaxing holiday then just chill out by the pool with a ice cold drink and take in the quiet charm of the surrounding area, or relax in the spa or pool and enjoy the sunset at the end of the day. The family room leads out to the shaded lanai and pool-side dining area, with loungers to soak in the Florida sunshine during the day, allowing you to enjoy our sun-drenched pool deck, surrounding our sparkling-clear pool and bubbling relaxing spa pool that overlooks the tee off and fairway and a lake to the rear the master bedroom and master bathroom with access off the deck.
Attractions: Our home is only a 10-15 minute drive to the main gateway for the Walt Disney World complex & only 30 minutes to Sea World, Discovery Cove (Swim with Dolphins), Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Cypress Gardens & Wet & Wild. The coast is approximately an hour in each direction, with Kennedy space centre & Daytona Beach on the Atlantic coast & on the Gulf Coast is St Petersburg & Busch Gardens in Tampa. At St Petersbourg you can also go Dolphin watching. Central Florida has a huge choice of attractions, besides the main ones identified above. there are many novelty and adventure mini golf areas, many smaller water parks, zoos, air boat tours, etc. The sporting facilities are excellent throughout Central Florida. Including water skiing, go karts, sailing, fishing etc. If you wish to watch sports, many top Basketball, Baseball and American Football teams play in Orlando or Tampa.
Shopping, Restaurants and Theatre: There are numerous restaurants to suit all tastes & pockets. Including Many Dinner/Theatre entertainment shows including Dixie stampead, Arabean nights, Pirates Dinner show, Medeival times etc. Downtown Disney and City Walk at Universal studios are worth a visit expecially at night. They have masses of entertainment, shopping and Restaurants. Shopping Malls are plentiful including, Florida Mall & Millennium Mall. There are also many Flea markets and smaller shopping outlets. You can buy many named brands at discount prices at Belz, on International Drive & Orlando Premium Outlets just off the I 4. There are many other outlets too numerous to mention. Within 5 minutes drive there are large Supermarkets for everyday essentials. These include Walmarts on the US27 near Haines City and North just past the junction with the 192 and Publix at Champions gate.
Golf: Our home is situated actually on the golf course and backs onto the tee off and fairway, with beautiful views across the lake and beyond. The 18 hole championship par 72 golf course nestled around a multitude of lakes and sculpted from lush historic farmlands, the fairways are as green as fairways can get gently rolling and always meticulously maintained. There are multi-level tees, so ladies to champions can play the course. Shot positioning is crucial as 16 holes are around water. The southern style clubhouse is approximately a quarter of a mile away with golf merchandise and deli / snack bar. Exceptional Value comes to mind when choosing Ridgewood Lakes as your home course and accommodation. Ridgewood lakes is a course that has been listed in the top 30 in Florida. There are further courses nearby including, Disney which has 5 courses, Orange lake, Southern Dunes, Diamondback, Orange County National plus many more within easy reach of our villa.
