Our Island Home updated for 2008. This 4 bedroom, 3 bath Cape Cod-style contemporary home is centrally located in a wooded area of Tisbury. The home's ideal location offers easy access to the ferries, downtown shopping and many fine restaurants. Golf, tennis, boating, and miles of bicycle trails offer recreational opportunities for young and old. Sun bathers are sure to enjoy numerous public beaches in Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. The scenic towns, farms, beaches and harbors of West Tisbury, Chilmark and Aquinnah are also close by. Our home has an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings and lighted ceiling fans in most rooms. A gas fireplace, located in the Great Room, can provide that special ambiance, or warm you on a cool summer night. French windows and sliding doors open onto twin wrap around covered farmer's porches with wicker furnishings.

The Island of Martha's Vineyard has something for nearly everyone's interests. The island's natural beauty is a photographer's paradise and provides a great setting for many outdoor sports and activities. One can get a great workout or just relax in the sun on one of the many beautiful sandy beaches. Antique shops, art galleries and book stores offer a wonderful diversion for the occasional rainy day. Excellent dining and shopping can be found in all of the nearby towns. The island has a bountiful supply of farm-grown produce, fresh seafood and unique bakeries, as well as large supermarkets and delightful gourmet food shops. To avoid the summer traffic, you can catch the island bus into town at the end of our driveway, or ride your bicycles on the many miles of bike paths that pass by our home. The bike path, located in the State Forest and around the airport, is ideal for safe and easy biking, rollerblading, jogging or walking.

The Garden Room also has cathedral ceilings with 4 skylights and an abundance of windows which provide a warm and sunny place to relax with the morning paper or to stare up at the stars on a quiet evening. The Breakfast Nook and formal Dining Room will comfortably seat 8-10 people. Downstairs there is a large Entertainment Room. Also, on the lower level, is a king-sized bedroom with an adjoining bath. The Entertainment Room offers a stylish home bar, game table, comfortable reading area with books and games to play. Its also equipped with satellite television, VCR, DVD, and a stereo music system. This is a new, year-round, home that is light, bright and spacious. It is well-equipped with sheets, blankets, comforters, towels, kitchen utensils, dinnerware for eight and comfortable new furnishings in island colors.

We were absolutely thrilled with our vacation home last summer! The home exceeded our expecations with comfort/luxury and privacy for all! The kitchen was a delight - and was easy and organized. The sky lights and big open spaces were a delight. The men enjoyed the downstairs bar and pool table, while the women relaxed quietly upstairs. The wrap around porch (front & back) was also a delightful retreat. Only request is an outdoor shower, then we'll be in heaven!

We traveled from Hawaii to attend a family wedding on the Vineyard in Oct.09 and we were so pleased with this house...The owner was friendly and helpful and was quick with all correspondence....The house itself was a peaceful haven, as was roomy enough for all family to have their own little nook ....We enjoyed the fireplace, as we don't have one in Hawaii ,and it got a bit chilly one night....Helpful books on hiking, birdwatching, art were strewn around the sun room...and the lovely wrap around porch was so spacious....Everything of convience was provided from sheets, towels , hairdryers ,iron, and toiletry items. The gameroom was spacious and had pool table, big screen T.V. and excellent bar set-up.. Wonderful decorating was quite evident throughout the house as well....The bus stop was right down the street which was convient, we were able to purchase a 3 day bus pass for a very reasonable rate..We also walked into Vineyard Haven one morning, about a 2 mile walk....My thanks to the owners and would love to come back again..Highly recommended to all.....

Great family vacation

We rented this house over Memorial Day weekend. We had four adults and four children and the house suited us perfectly. There was plenty of room on the main floor and a huge basement floor for the kids to play and watch television. There was even a pool table and a bar for the adults! The location was very convenient to the ferry, shopping, and restaurants. We would highly recommend this house for a relaxing week on the Vineyard.

November get away with friends

I planned the get away for 4 couples to Martha's Vineyard on November 16 for the weekend. Down to the ferry and the transportation and restaurants. Everyone had a great time and the house was great. We all enjoyed the kitchen to cook and the fire place to have drinks and talk. We got to play pool and really didn't watch t.v. much but it was there if needed. Everyone enjoyed there own room. It was great to have a gas grill to cook on and we made a point to sit in every room to enjoy the whole house. Thanks for letting us use your great home.

This property is just what I had been looking for! The house has an excellent openness to it that invites the outside inside. Very light and airy! The Great Room is just right for entertaining and relaxing. The entertainment room is huge and includes a pool table and wet bar. We all enjoyed ourselves so much, both at the house and seeing all the wonderful sights of the island.
