Relax at our beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath log home located on Dallas lake, one of 5 connected lakes in the Indian chain of lakes. Enjoy gorgeous sunrises from the lake side deck. The lakes are great for skiing, fishing, swimming or sightseeing. Rent our pontoon or bring your own boat, we have an extra dock. At night, relax in our newly furnished home. Comfy leather furniture is great on warm summer nights. Our master bedroom features a king size bed and entertainment armoire, plenty of closet space and private bath. The other rooms have a queen bed, day bed with extra pullout twin mattress and a queen size sofa bed.
We stayed in the cabin over Thanksgiving week and simply adored the cabin. As my son said, "the cabin was delicious". Everything was spotless and it's directly on the water. We were able to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner in the well equipped kitchen with no trouble. Though the weather was cold with some snow, the views over the water were beautiful and we had some great sunrises. Beds were super comfy and the whole cabin was filled with homey touches. We hope to stay again.
We feel in love with this place. The home is VERY well appointed and VERY comfortable and warm. It has everything you could need and is fully stocked right down to the towels, linens and utensils. The location on the lake is perfect. There is a nice swimming area for the kids with a sandy shore and a swing in the shade for Mom and Dad. It's so peaceful and quiet in the mornings that you can hear the clopping of the horse drawn Amish carriages about a 1/2 mile away on the main road. We were greeted by families of ducks and multiple hummingbirds while enjoying coffee on the deck each morning. The lake provides great fishing just about anywhere and all the water sport activities you can dream up. Or you can choose to relax and enjoy the quiet and peaceful surroundings. Dave and his family made us feel very welcome and comfortable and provided a wealth of information about the area restaurants and activities. Our only regret is not having another week to stay. This is a great home with great owners that take very good care of you and make you feel like an old friend.
Beautiful lake home, beautifully decorated with so many amenities including bed linens and bath towels. Kitchen fully stocked, no need to pack so many of the normal things for a cabin vacation!! We spent the weekend with our kids and grandkids and had a blast! The kids loved playing in the shallow water and on the sandy beach! We all enjoyed cruising the lakes on the pontoon and hanging out on the sandbar. Dave & Mary were so helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and things to do / places to eat. We will be back again next year!!! Thanks Dave & Mary
We enjoyed ourselves tremendously during our stay. The pictures do not do this place justice. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend this place.
The cabin was very comfortable with plenty of room. All the appliances were in working order & everything was provided that we needed. The pontoon boat was as promised & we had no trouble operating it. Dave was very nice & accomadating. The property is a little remote but well worth the drive. We would stay again,
We have just returned to Tennessee after a week long stay in this cabin on Dallas Lake. My 4 year olds keep telling me how much they miss the cabin. Everything was CLEAN, quiet, comfortable and we felt so at home. THANKS! We will be back.
Besides the great lake fun, we are only 15 minutes from the famous Shipshewana Flea Market. Spend a day or two at the market or enjoy the many interesting shops in Shipshewana. We are also only 35 minutes from the Auburn-Cord-Duesenburg Museum. Or, enjoy a relaxing ride through Amish country, see them working in the fields, driving their buggy, or working in their beautiful flower gardens. You won't want to miss the Amish cooking at any of several local restaurants. Several very nice shopping malls are located within one hour's drive.
