Exclusive, luxurious, sunny apartment (135 m2) in the centre of Barcelona, which has just been fully refurbished. Comfortable for groups of up to 6 guests, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living room and kitchen, and a sunny terrace.

The apartment is located on Avinguda Diagonal between Balmes and Rambla de Catalunya, just a few minutes away from Passeig de Gracia - where some of the most emblematic Modernist architectural works, such as Gaudi's Casa Milà (“La Pedrera”) and Casa Batlló, can be found. The neighbourhood is lively, offering a great choice of of restaurants and bars covering an extensive range of cuisine styles and prices, shops and entertainment.

It provides a perfect base to visit and explore the city, ideally connected with buses stopping right in front of the building (including Barcelona City Tours buses) and an underground station (Metro Diagonal) a 5-minute walk away. Metro Diagonal station is two stops away from Pl. Catalunya (the top end of Les Rambles, marking the start of the old city quarter), three stops away from Liceu (the stop for Opera House and for the popular food market of La Boqueria), four stops away from Drassanes (the bottom end of Les Rambles, next to the sea), and seven stops (14 minutes) to Plaça Espanya (where the Fira de Barcelona, the main venue for fairs and congresses of the city, is located, at the base of Montjuïc).

The apartment is part of a listed building named “Casa Eduardo Puig” (after the Spanish tycoon that build it for him and his family in the beginning of the 20th century; Mr Puig occupied the first floor, and his children the remaining five floors). The apartment we are offering is located on the 4rth floor, overlooking the neighbourhood; we also have a 65m2, one-bedroom apartment on the first floor of same building available for rental. The whole building was renovated around the year 2000, when it was converted to a luxury apartment block, and features a spacious entrance hall with the original old-fashioned lift (which has been restored), complemented with a modern, high-capacity, faster lift. There is a concierge in the building Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, who can collect any deliveries while you are away.

Mandatory Non-smoking indoors (smokers may use the terrace provided that they close the terrace doors behind to prevent the smoke from entering the flat).

No pets allowed (in consideration to potential customers with allergies).

Comfortable, spotless and great location!

Listing description very accurate. The apartment was spotless and extremely comfortable, especially the beds! Eduardo is a very gracious and helpful friendly man. I recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Barcelona! Rick Steves' pocket Barcelona was one of the books we purchased and that truly helped us get to see everything we possibly could in 3 days. Definitely plan out your visit before you arrive. Check out the attractions beforehand on the internet and take their recommendations as far as buying tickets in advance. Enjoy! What a beautiful country! Kitty from NH

Perfect Accomodations

We stayed at this apartment for two plus weeks September into October. Everything is as advertised and the rave reviews are warranted. It is safe, clean, modern, sunny, quiet and void of personal knickknacks that make you feel like you are invading someone's home. Initially worried that it would be too far from the tourist sites, it was in fact a perfect location, really the center of Barcelona. Although you can walk most places and taxis are reasonable, the Metro is clean, fast and only minutes away. Everything, really, is only minutes away. Ed is welcoming, responsive, and a true gentleman. It is really out of respect for him and his service that I feel compelled to submit this review.

Beautiful apartment, perfect location

Five of us traveled to Barcelona -- me, my mother and three of her sisters -- and this apartment was the perfect homemade for the trip. Everything was as advertised. Beautiful apartment, great furniture, kichen and bathrooms, loved the balcony and glasses in eating area. It had a great restaurant just downstairs and was only a 15 minute walk to city center but lots of shopping, restaurants, public transportation nearby. The owner and his wife were very helpful via email and in netting at the apartment when we arrived. Excellent service and we would recommend this to any family in need of a larger apartment to explore Barcelona. The large elevator and washer and dryer were an extra PLUS! Enjoy!

We loved our stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona, and much of the reason was because we loved our rental apartment. It is centrally located in a great area of town. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. I think that they are Temperpedic mattresses. The kitchen was fully equipped and updated. Bathrooms were beautiful and clean. Every room was attractive and clean. Eduardo, the owner came to meet us when we arrived, showed us around and gave us many good tips about the neighborhood and Barcelona in general. My husband and I were traveling with our two young adult sons and we all thought Eduardo's apartment was perfect for our purposes. We would definitely recommend this apartment to family and friends!

First class, centrally located apartment

We spent a most comfortable week at Eduardo’s apartment. Although situated on a busy avenue, the apartment is at the rear of the building and is therefore very quiet. It was spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped.
Eduardo, the genial owner, met us on arrival and showed us round. He has a detailed knowledge of the area and recommended many restaurants and shops within a short distance. The choice of local restaurants is immense and it would be unfair to single out any one, but here goes. Miguelito’s, next door, was a good choice for Sunday lunch. At MariscCo, diagonally opposite the nearby Eroski supermarket, you can choose your own fresh fish and seafood, which is then cooked to your liking. If you like an Argentinian steak, then Arcano, at Carrer des Mercaders 10, 08003, is a short taxi ride away. Do book ahead, though.
After a day of sightseeing, Eduardo’s apartment is a most welcoming and highly recommended retreat.
