Very private renovated home sleeps six, 2.5 baths. Private enclosed backyard, ideal for children. Outstanding location just off Cliff Road; 7 minute walk to beaches, 15 minute walk to town. Close to the Westmoor Club, bicycle paths, Steps and Washing Pond Beaches.

The property can include a detached carriage house, fully redecorated to a very high standard. Sleeps two; separate living room and kitchen; central air and heat.

Surrounding Area: Our house is located on a charming rural country road (unpaved) at the edge of town, but an easy walk to beaches and a 15 minute walk to town center. We overlook wetlands the Westmoor Club beyond, and are far enough off Cliff Road so there is minimal traffic noise, yet easy access. We have mature landscaping, so in season the house cannot be seen from the road. Both the front and rear yards are exceptionally private - the rear yard in enclosed and has two gated entrances, so it is perfect for young children (we have two). We are also quite near the Cliff Road bicycle path, so that is always an enjoyable activity and a good way to see more of the island - especially the bay side beaches (Steps, Washing Pond, etc)

There is an adjacent carriage house - really a self-contained apartment - decorated to a very high standard. Central air and separate living room and kitchen. Incredibly quaint and sleek.

Restaurants: We are within a 5 to 15 minute drive of all the resort restaurants, but given the privacy and setting of the house, we find both ourselves and guests frequently dining and relaxing on the rear deck with a barbecue, or a more formal meal if desired. We have a restaurant pedigree DWS oven suitable for all purposes.

We are located just off Cliff Road, just beyond the busy part of town, near the new Westmoor Club, Steps Beach, etc. A short bike or drive to fantastic Washing Pond beach and a short bike or walk to Something Natural. Very private and very quiet, with mature landscaping, nice front yard and fenced in rear yard with lots of hydrangeas. Nantucket shell driveway.

  • If you are booking more than two weeks please speak to us regarding rate quotes. Rate includes normal cleaning, which is three hours for a team of two or three. A 20% security deposit is required, fully refundable (there will be a surcharge if there is a particularly difficult cleaning issue).

    To avoid any cleaning issues, upon departure it would greatly help if dishes were in the dishwasher, and minor cleaning started (beds stripped; load of wash going, etc)

We had a fantastic stay at this house off Cliff Rd on Nantucket! The house is bright and airy and the upstairs bedrooms are big and clean with very comfortable beds. The backyard is fenced - kids can play while parents relax on the deck. The owner made himself and his caretakers available - we knew we were in good hands with the house AND nearby restaurant and island suggestions (note: house is super close to Something Natural and Cliff bike path!) Had such a great week in 2011 that we returned in 2012. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Wonderful Home Away From Home

We absolutley loved our home away from home in Nantucket. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed from beach chairs to a gourmet kitchen. The location could not beat. Close enough to town to walk but also very quiet and private. We can't wait to come back!
