Ladbroke Grove House Rental Photos and Description
4 bedroom, 3 bathroom beautifully proportioned and spacious home
This home is a statuesque beauty. With four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and even a live-in housekeeper, its proportions are perfect – wide rooms spilling over with light. The space feels boundless, while original features and gorgeous art generate an atmosphere of friendliness and warmth. This is very much a family house, and that elegant décor is hugely practical. With Notting Hill, Portobello Road Market and the hip cafés and boutiques of Westbourne Grove within walking distance it would be a shame to spend too much time indoors. But should rain threaten, then Westfield, one of the largest shopping and entertainment malls in Europe, is so close that you won’t even for one moment feel bored.
Your hosts are a journalist and a photographer, and they reside at Wallingford Avenue 3 with their three lively children.
There’s room for everyone here, be it in the sunny eat-in kitchen, the refined sitting room or the jazzy playroom down on the lower ground floor. The kitchen is easily one of the nicest we’ve seen, huge skylights illuminating state-of-the-art units, a pea green sofa and a wonderful hanging chair. Open the full-length doors and have a run around in the garden, then snuggle up on the sitting room’s plush velvet sofa and let your toes roam free in the fluffy grey rug.
The master bedroom’s a masterpiece of pale grey walls and polished wood, its pretty ensuite tiled in warm sandstone and filled with our White Company toiletries. There’s an attic double, also with its own en suite, and two adorable kids’ rooms, a single and a triple, both packed with books, games and toys.
You’re between Wormwood Scrubs Park and the garden squares of Notting Hill, so there’s plenty of space for the little ones to stretch their legs. Eat out at Westfield, in the gastropubs of Westbourne Grove, or in one of North Kensington’s buzzy neighbourhood cafés. A short cab ride brings you down to South Kensington and the museums, or, if you want to visit the West End, the tube from Latimer Road to Oxford Circus takes less than half an hour
- children welcome
- non smoking only
