Spend a quiet week in a quaint English style cottage with dramatic wooded views on the rocky coast of Maine. Walk through our tiny village to the ocean, and view the Cape Porpoise light house. Our beautiful, art and antique furnished cape is nestled among flower gardens, surrounded by Maine woods, and is only a thousand feet from the water. Awake each morning to the sound of the village church bell and birds or the light house fog horn. A short 3/4 mile walk will bring you to Cape Porpoise Pier where you can watch lobster men unloading their catch. The cottage features include a full kitchen, two comfortable queen beds, a full bath and a 3/4 bath , sitting area, large family room, huge screened porch and breakfast nook. Perfect for four adults or two adults and two teens (sorry, the setting is not appropriate for younger children). Just a short walk to the Cape Porpoise village country store, art gallery, gourmet take-out, library and several restaurants.

    $1995/week
    Check-in Saturday 4-6 PM, Check-out Saturday by 10 AM

    Upon reservation, send $1000 deposit. $500 will be held as security/cleaning deposit. When we find our home as you found it your security deposit will be returned within a week.

    Balance of payment ($1495) by check or cash upon arrival.

    Cancellations permitted up to two weeks before scheduled arrival. No deposits can be returned after that date. Suggest trip insurance be considered.

    Cleaning fee of $100 for those unable to clean kitchen sink, baths and sweep.

This is a wonderful home in a terrific location. Our hosts were warm, welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. The house and grounds are impeccably maintained and all amenities are as advertised.

Above the Pines is a five-minute walk from the grocery store, fantastic prepared-food and wine shop and several restaurants. The beach, services and shops are in easy proximity by car.

We ran every morning to the pier and back (just about two miles round trip) through the charming neighborhood. This is a perfect choice if you want a cozy, relaxing retreat for your vacation.
