Lay on the dock and bask in the sunshine. Paddle the canoe, swim in perhaps the cleanest water you will ever see. The house faces west and catches the sun until late afternoon. Hike Bald Mountain, five minutes away, and see all the way to the ocean or Mt. Katahdin. Take a long walk or bike ride along country roads. There are plenty of places to explore.
Bring home some lobsters and cook them at the house, or grill a nice piece of salmon. Enjoy a quiet evening on the deck, listening to the calls of the resident loon. Hancock County provides many attractions. Acadia National Park is exceptionally beautiful, offering sightseeing, whale watches, hiking, and everything for nature lovers. Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Bangor and Ellsworth are home to many cultural activities, including concerts, a national folk music festival, art exhibitions and movie theaters. There are excellent restaurants and lobster pounds. There are many antique shops and golf courses.
