Want a great place while celebrating July 4th, or the National Folk Festival in August? This is a perfect place to relax. Bring books, fill the refrigerator and settle in. Sit by the water in sun and quiet. Sit on the deck, nestled in foliage. This year-round house is on the shore of a spring-fed, deep water, 46 acre alpine lake. 300 feet of shoreline at the end of a private road. Beautiful sunset views across the water. Perfect for swimming, canoeing, long walks. This is a quiet lake - no jet skis or large motors allowed. Well-maintained house with all conveniences: dishwasher, washer/dryer, and full kitchen. A barbecue grill is included. Spacious living/dining room area opens to large deck overlooking the water. The rural location is convenient to many year-round attractions. Acadia National Park is 45 minutes. Bangor, and the International Airport, is 30 minutes. Ellsworth, Blue Hill and Bucksport are equally close. Fine dining at the Lucerne Inn is only 15 minutes away.

Nearest Airport: Bangor at 15 Miles
Car: necessary
Lay on the dock and bask in the sunshine. Paddle the canoe, swim in perhaps the cleanest water you will ever see. The house faces west and catches the sun until late afternoon. Hike Bald Mountain, five minutes away, and see all the way to the ocean or Mt. Katahdin. Take a long walk or bike ride along country roads. There are plenty of places to explore. Bring home some lobsters and cook them at the house, or grill a nice piece of salmon. Enjoy a quiet evening on the deck, listening to the calls of the resident loon. Hancock County provides many attractions. Acadia National Park is exceptionally beautiful, offering sightseeing, whale watches, hiking, and everything for nature lovers. Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Bangor and Ellsworth are home to many cultural activities, including concerts, a national folk music festival, art exhibitions and movie theaters. There are excellent restaurants and lobster pounds. There are many antique shops and golf courses.
