Welcome to “Lighthouse Getaway”, your cozy vacation home away from home!

The unique Inlet building in the Minorca complex is directly on the ocean, only 100 yards from the beach over a wooden boardwalk. The fully equipped kitchen opens to a nicely-appointed dining/living room. The second bedroom can be arranged with one king bed or two twins at your request. There is a queen sleeper in the livingroom. There is a TV in each bedroom as well as a 32' flat screen in the livingroom.

For those whose computers must stay connected to the outside world, wireless high speed internet is provided in the unit.

Let the sunrise greet you each morning as you wake up to the spectacular ocean panorama dotted with white sails, fishing boats and the few surfers who have already hit the waves.

Enjoy morning coffee and evening appetizers on the 8’ x 31’ 6th floor balcony that overlooks one of the best surfing beaches on the East Coast. Use the high bar stools to see over the railing, or relax, read or sunbathe in the chaise and lower deck chairs. Observe the pelicans and other sea birds as they fly before you at eye level. The Ponce Lighthouse just across the inlet carries out it’s nightly duty and augments the idyllic seascape.

Put on your walking shoes and stroll along the 1.5 mile boardwalk that winds its way through the Dunes Park between you and the end of the peninsula. Don’t miss the tortoises basking in the sun along the way. Then cool off in the pool just below your balcony.

Like to fish? Play tennis? Work out in exercise/weight facilities? Ride a bike? Take your pick...all are available from your “Lighthouse Getaway”. And of course the community of New Smyrna Beach offers quaint shops, restaurants and many sea-faring options.

Close to Orlando attractions and Kennedy Space Center.

The Inlet is part of the gated community of Minorca, the top resort in the area.

About The Owner

My husband and I have lived and traveled all over the world. Originally from Michigan and Minnesota, we married in Nashville, TN and currently live in Parker, CO. We chose this unique 'Lighthouse Getaway' as our seaside retreat because we enjoy the spectacular views, the wildlife, and unique feel of New Smyrna Beach. We love to walk along the beach and the boardwalk every morning and ride our bikes along the beach in the evenings. There are so many wonderful day trips you can take, or just relax on the balcony and read a good book. We hope you like our home away from home as much as we do. Mike and Carolyn Nickerson

Thank you so much for allowing us to spend these two weeks in your condo. We have nothing but good to say about our experience. We all enjoyed it immensely, and will be keeping it in mind when it comes to planning next year. We have your ad bookmarked on our computer. My daughter in law posted some pictures she took and posted them on facebook. One of her co workers in Kansas commented on the view and all and said he would be contacting us later to get more information about it. We have vacationed at the inlet for four or five years already. Previously we have been on the 13th floor. The view, of course is really the same, but the larger balcony on the 6th was so nice.

Thanks so much for allowing us to spend the week in your condo. We absolutely loved this unit, from the floorplan to the plentiful kitchen items to the abundance of towels and sheets to the views. We had our 11 year old daughter, 7 year old son, and for a few days my parents with us. We had such fun on the huge patio eating lunches and just hanging out. We also loved the overall floorplan that suited our family perfectly. We've been to NSB on 3 other occasions, but we'll be coming back to this unit in the future. Something else we loved was that we didn't feel gouged on price With me being on 100% commission in my job and my hubby being a teacher, we don't have loads of cash to blow on vacations, but this was a great place. Thanks again. We hope to be back next spring break!

A Pleasant Surprise

For the first time ever, the pictures on the VRBO website did not do the property justice. It was such a pleasant surprise. Your condo so nice;
and what made it even better was the quality of furniture and mattress in the master bedroom. We have had our vacations so hampered by very cheap sitting and sleeping.

When we come to New Smyrna Beach, we will certainly be calling you again!

beautiful as always at the inlet

the unit was just as i hoped it would be - clean,comfortable, great view.
the best part was the phone conversations with carolyn, she was so nice and very flexible with my requests. one of the nicest people i have never met in person. but all kidding aside, I would recomend this unit highly. the unit and the owners are both great.
