Description of the Franconia vacation lodge rental
Sugar Run lodge is spectacular. Stunning mountain views, 80 private acres, plus trails for hiking, biking and cross country skiing. Sugar Run Lodge is actually two lodges in one, assuring families or groups privacy as well as large common areas. A large covered deck connects the two lodges. Each new natural cedar lodge has cathedral ceilings, a kitchen, great room and fireplace. Hardwood floors are throughout. Seven bedrooms (including a bunkroom) plus a large sleeping loft can accommodate up to 20. Six full baths include five Jacuzzis. Private balconies or patios extend from each bedroom. Secluded on its own small mountain, the lodge is two miles from Sugar Hill, four miles from Cannon Mtn ski area or Franconia. We are 15 miles from Bretton Woods Ski Area and the Mt. Washington Hotel and Cross-Country area, 15 miles from Loon Mt. Ski area in Lincoln, and one hour from North Conway Ski areas. Sugar Run is 2 1/2 hours from Boston, and 2 hrs. from Montreal.
Location
Cross country ski, snowshoe and hike on your own trails that connect to Sunset Hill House trail system and golf course in Sugar Hill. Riding stables and the Franconia Inn sail plane center are two miles away. (Other stables for boarding are 1/4 mile away.) Appalachian Trail systems as well as several other mountain trails are minutes away as are downhill ski areas at Cannon Mt., Bretton Woods, and Loon Mountain. Local attractions include Franconia Notch State Park, Echo Lake, Flume Gorge, aerial tramway, Lost River Gorge, Whales Tale Water Park, Mt. Washington and the Appalachian Mountain Club Center.
