FABULOUS SECLUDED GETAWAY - 2 HOURS FROM NYC

A group of us spent a magical week here between Christmas and New Years. Everything was perfect about the house. I loved how private each bedroom was but how social the common areas were. It's beautifully appointed without being fussy. Tina is an incredible host. This is one of the best rentals I've ever had.

Tina was extremely pleasant to interact with in the days leading up to deciding on renting her home and throughout the process. She sent detailed instructions, was available for any questions (up to and including our stay) and provided us with some nice tips on how to enjoy the home and the surrounding neighborhoods. I was worried that the home might be a little cold in the late fall but everything was very cozy. You never know who you are going to deal with in these rental transactions but Tina was incredibly thoughtful, receptive and available.

We stayed at the barn for a week over the 4th of July. Generally, we travel out of state for the 4th, but this year we stayed in NY. I emailed the owner just a couple days before the 4th to check availability. She was responsive, very pleasant and easy going. We arrived to a beautiful restored barn that would wow architectural buffs. What a beautiful property this was!!! First, the grounds were just breathtaking. Well maintained and green. We woke up to deer in the yard, and saw rabbits out the window daily. My kids (ages 4 & 5) played with the tennis rackets and wiffa ball set that was at the house. The pool was the highlight for us. We swam every day and bbq at night. The house was inviting and well packed. The kitchen had every imaginable pot/pan, cooking utensil and condiment. The bathroom -thick plush towels better than the Four Seasons. The shower had great pressure and the sauna was an added touch. The owner left brochures and guide books detailing the area. She also left a bottle of champagne for us. The beds were super comfortable. Everything about this property was very special. We could tell that the owner took pride in the property and wanted us to really enjoy our stay -- and we did. We hope to go back for Thanksgiving this year.
