The summer season provides swimming, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, hiking, carnivals, craft shows, golf, tennis, and biking. Day trips to the Adirondacks Museum (ranked one of the top 10 museums in the country), Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame, Soccer Hall of Fame, horse racing in Saratoga, rafting/canoe trips, and outlet shopping in Lake George.
The fall foliage is something that can't be missed and the perfect opportunity for some amazing pictures. With winter comes downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Oak Mountain Ski Resort is just a 10 minute drive and the perfect place for learning to ski. No crowds! If you're a competitive skier, Gore Mountain is only a 35 minute drive, and Lake Placid will really test your skills (two hour drive). Cross country skiing is available on the local hiking trails or at nearby Lapland.
