Spend your vacation in a nature preserve like setting on 70 acres of fields & woods with long sandy beach (2 min. drive or a 7 min. walk from the house.) at its border, fresh & salt water ponds, wild flowers, deer, otter, clams, blueberries in season, etc. This wonderful, well-maintained 240 year old restored Cape (with some idiosyncrasies of an older home) has a large eat-in kitchen, large dining room with old cooking fireplace, living room with fireplace. The bunk house is a wonderful place for kids! Sunrises and sunsets are wonderful. Step back into earlier times when life was relaxed. Country living at its best! TV reception is marginal. Chappaquiddick is a 7 x 3 mile Island accessed from Edgartown via a small ferry (takes 3 minutes to cross the harbor entrance!) that carries three cars and many passengers. Its ocean and bay beaches are spectacular. Swimming, hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking, fishing, etc... or just plain relaxing (!) are all very popular with those that stay on this property. Drive to the ferry (2 miles), park and go into historic Edgartown to enjoy its fine restaurants, galleries, and shops. Ask for additional details.
