This is a large stilted duplex located in a tropical paradise. The water view property is located on the island City of Key Colony Beach in the Middle Keys (near Marathon). This is a canal-front unit with a 37.5 step down concrete dock with quick easy access to ocean. Dock comes with ladder access and fish cleaning table and easy access to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. The home features a large deck overlooking the canal (great place to dine). The master bedroom has king-size bed and guest bedroom has a double and twin. This home is open bright and airy completely remodeled with tile in kitchen, living room, hall and bathrooms. Bedrooms have hardwood floors throughout. Flat Screen televisions in every room, spacious closets and separate washer and dryer area. Fully furnished kitchen, and linen closet. Picnic area and gas grill with plenty of seating at dock for night fishing. Wireless access.

We enjoyed our stay in Key Colony Beach. It was spacious and clean. We fished from the canal every day and caught permits (?), catfish, a large crab, and a stingray! Of which we let all go. Although we had the use of a nice grill, we never did grill out because there were so many good restuarants in the area, sparky's landing, cabana breezes, the Wrech, the Stuffed Pig, Bubba's smoke house, and marathon fresh fish market and "hook line and Drinker" were all places we would visit again. Only adds for the place would be to include at least 4 beach towels for lounging on the nice chairs by the canal and a ceiling fan mounted on the front porch would be nice. Palm trees limit the view a little, but they are very nice nonetheless. The guest full size bed is a bit squeaky and soft for two adults to sleep on. Otherwise, beautiful place.

Great Vacation Spot

This was the best vacation ever. Conveniently located to everything. Cabana Club was so much fun, food, pool and beach. The kids were entertained with the pool and beach combination.

Night time fishing was awesome. The house was clean and neat as pictured. I would definitely recommend this rental. We are going back next year. I would recommend that you book early because these weeks go quickly.

Sitting on the dock or deck at night overlooking the water just is so calming. Now that is a true vacation.

We had a great time

This is a wonderful property. It is clean, well maintained, decorated nicely and set up for a wonderful keys vacation. It close to numerous restaurants, stores, dive shops, bait shops etc. The owners and realty company were pleasant and informative. We brought a 23 ft boat which had no problem being docked. The property can accommodate a much larger boat. There is a nice public boat ramp on the bay side. The step down seawall was great for boarding. There is deepwater access to both the ocean or bay through Vaca Cut. I could not believe or nephews did not get enough fishing in during the day but they fished every night in the canal and had a great time catching snapper.

I would recommend this property and will hopefully use it again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Stayed at duplex with my family. The unit was so clean and neat. The decor was wonderful. The view by the water was fabulous. I read the last review and the owners must of landscaped because the palm trees were trimmed nicely with a great view of the water. I would highly recommend this place to friend and family.

Very relaxing week

I stayed here with my family July 09 the property is very accurately described. clean and well equipped. great location, near very nice restaurants and beaches.
We fished from the dock every night and kayaked every day. Very enjoyable I would recommend this home to families with children and adults alone.
The only disappointing feature to us was the tall foliage outside the balcony, it would have been nice to see the water as we drank our morning coffee.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
