From Hillsborough Lower Village, take the picturesque approach, over a twin stone arch bridge, along tree canopied roads to reach the completely renovated year-round home, nestled in the quiet hillside overlooking 520 acre Franklin Pierce Lake. Every room has a view of the lake. Watch the loons,sunsets and stars from the balcony deck (1/2 fully screened), relax in the sun by the water at the dock deck, or barbecue on the rear deck in the shade of the trees. Bring your own boat or use the 2 kayaks or canoe provided on site. Secluded location on dead-end mountainside road yet within 5 minutes to the highway and Hillsborough shopping. First floor kitchen/dining/living area, 2 bedrooms and bathroom, with three sliders to balcony deck (half of which is screened) and spectacular year round 180 degree view. Spiral stairs to loft with skylights. Downstairs family room with large windows, table tennis, foosball, satellite TV, CD/DVD, hi-fi system and 1/2 bath.

House is located on Hillsborough/Antrim border which offers the best of both worlds. Hillborough has several restaurants and specialty shops as well as pharmacy, grocery store and pub. Antrim is a small rural village which offers farm stands, small stores and an amazing hardware store. House is close to Pats Peak and Crotched Mountain ski areas. Mt. Sunapee and Mt. Monadnock are nearby. Mt. Monadnock is the most popular mountain for hiking in New England.

House is as nice as shown in the pictures, clean and comfortable (even the beds). We enjoyed the lake (nice for swimming and boating), table tennis and the privacy. There are a couple of good restaurants in nearby Hillsboro,
though the house is fully outfitted to cook your own meals.
The Corner Store not far from the house serves good breakfasts and sandwiches. We definitely recommend this home away from home.

Wonderful Setting and Home for Relaxing Vacation

My wife, son and I loved the home, lake and location. It was private - but easy to get to town. The features in the home, and its spaciousness, allowed everyone to do what they wanted - together or alone. Our 5 year old son loved the lake, boats, jumping off the dock, fishing and cooking the fish we caught. The toys and particulary the trains in the house where a constant joy for him. We hope to back next year - maybe with more family.

This house is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. The view of the lake is gorgeous any time of day, even at night the stars are so bright. Home is well equipped for a very relaxing vacation. The owners are such sweet people. We very much enjoyed our stay in their home. The road up is a bit of a journey but well worth the ride up.

Fantastic View

This vacation home has a lot of great aspects, especially the view. We stayed for a weekend in mid-October around peak foliage season. The colors were right out of a Rockwell painting. Plenty of fun things to do; canoe, ping pong, board games... Don't expect to use your cell phones, there's no reception. Property is a little tricky to get to at night, give yourself a better chance by finding it during daylight.
