Location: Rhode Island Coastal < Rhode Island < USA
There is a private tennis court you can walk to and a private beach that can only be accessed by boat. The beach is on the barrier beach that faces block Island. It is the last undeveloped barrier beach on the east coast and it is just gorgeous with a handful of people for miles, even on the weekends.
Boats can be rented from the local marina. The town beach is about a 5 minute drive. The house is next to Ninigret Park which has walking trails, a wildlife refuge, basketball, tennis, soccer fields, observatory, playground and a fresh water pond. Although the town of Charlestown is a quaint and quiet town it has a thriving flea market on the weekends as well as other major events such as the Big Apple Circus, a seafood festival, Rhythm & Roots--check the Chamber of Commerce. There are several nice restaurants, shops, as well as art galleries. Charlestown is about a 30 minute drive from Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casino. It is also just a short drive from The Mystic Seaport and aquarium.
