Dear Giulio,

Thank you for your hospitality. We loved the apartment and we really enjoyed meeting you, Stefania, and Camilla. It was the perfect end to the summer. It was nice to have people we knew in the audience of the screening.

Our schedules were so busy that we regret we didn't have the chance to share a meal together. Hopefully we'll have a chance to have dinner together when you and your family come to NYC.

On a practical note, we hope everything in the apartment was left in good order.

Best wishes for the Fall.

Comfortable Cozy Apartment

The apartment was very nice. The location was excellent! It is a 3 story walk up for those faint of heart-- a great work out for others. Sophie is so sweet and helpful. The arrangements were very easy to make. I would stay there again!

Magnifico!

My husband and two young adult sons had the fortune to stay at this enchanting, beautiful, unique and exceptionally clean apartment for two nights. Each and every inquiry that I had, Camilla immediately replied with answers and gave great information regarding our arrival and departure. When we arrived - hours late and at the last minute we had no phone service to inform her of our lateness - we were able to find a phone and call her, she arrived in less than 2 minutes. Understandably, since the meeting point (the Vaporetta stop) was literally that close to the apartment. The photos do not do this place justice. Amazing. The rooms were large, well furnished with very comfortable beds and exceptionally clean bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped, although we didn't cook anything when some of the tastiest foods are within steps of the apartment. The views from each window were beautiful. Wifi was perfect. We were given 2 different access codes and each worked without a single problem. One last point that I want to make is that yes, there are 4 flights of stairs to get to the apartment but unless one is handicapped or very frail/elderly, there is no issue with climbing stairs. It's only 4 flights, not 10! I will be returning here and will recommend this place to anyone going to Venice!

Camilla, many thanks to you and Mr. Giulio for being such impressive hosts. I look forward to seeing you again!

If it wasnt for the stairs, it would be 5 stars!

The property managers were excellent from beginning to end. Here is my rating:
Location: 5 (excellent)
Appearance/Cleanliness: 5
Communication: 5
Comfort: 2 (see explanation)
Wifi: 3 (spotty at times)

When it comes to comfort, I give this apartment a 2 because of the following:
1) apt is on 3rd floor but it is more like the 5th floor by American standards. My family had no problem except for grandma who is well over 70 and in good shape but found them challenging after a long day of sight seeing
2) The previous renter broke door latch of the washing machine; I arrived after 6 days of traveling so I had lots of laundry to do for a family of 6. Property managers took responsibility and gave me an allowance to get my laundry done outside - however, I wasted precious time doing laundry as opposed to when I got home to rest. This is truly one of those accident; I think management handled it perfectly.
3) previous renters took with them a set of keys so we were given only one set of keys. This caused major problems because the apartment only opens and closes with a key (no deadbolt or lock latch available.) We had to coordinate time of arrivals for those wanting to stay out so we could let them in (go down and back up again!) or be prepared to be locked-in for the night (kind of troublesome if something required you to have to go out.) Three keys are needed: one for the building, one for the apt suite, and one for the apartment. I believe all property managers should be prepared for this event so that other renters are not affected.

I definitely recommend this apartment to families under 55 but make sure you get two sets of keys if your family needs it.

Ideal location

My husband and I are in our 60s, and traveled with our 30 year old daughter. We had great communication with both Camille and Erica prior to even leaving our home, and felt confident this apartment would meet our needs. The bedrooms were bright and spacious. There was some early morning laborers chatter from the master bedroom but it didn't really bother us. The loft was spacious and interesting, although we didn't have much use for it with just the 3 of us. Besides, after the walk up to the apartment and to the bedroom level, we weren't much interested in an extra flight up! We really didn't mind the steps (we had more in Florence!), but it might be challenging for some. The decor was inviting, although the kitchen was really the only place to "hang out" at home, which we did very little. We walked everywhere, particularly St. Marks for drinks and music. Wonderful cafes! Simple commute from train station, but longer to the airport with multiple stops if you the valporetto. Thank you Camilla and Erica!

Wonderful apartment in the heart of Venice. Plenty of space, clean, and tastefully decorated! Live like a local in a local's apartment! In addition, the property manager took about an hour to help us plan our time in Venice by reviewing maps, attractions, and restaurants.

Everything we could ask for

  • 5 of 5
We just returned from a wonderful stay at this apartment in Venice. The apartment is accurately described. It is well equiped, clean, and very nice. The showers were fantastic, and so nice to have a washing machine! The location of this apartment couldn't be any better. It is PERFECT, with only a couple of minutes walk to St. Marks Square. We went to the square every night to listen to the lovely music -- it's close enough that we could do that. The price was very reasonable. Travel between the train station and the apartment was VERY easy, via the vaporetto. There was excellent communication from Camilla both before and during our stay. The *only* think you really need to consider before staying here is whether or not you can handle the stairs. There are 3 flights of stairs up to the apartment, then the apartment living space spans another 3 floors. I didn't mind the stairs at all, but my 70 year old mother struggled a little. But other than this, I can't say enough good things about this rental. It was perfect for our needs, and the location and ease of access couldn't have been better. Camille/Erica even arranged a water taxi to the airport for us. Stay here with confidence. I hope to return someday soon!
