My wife and I stayed at Tanglewood House over President's Day weekend. This is just outside of Glen Ellen, a lovely town with some great restaurants and of course there are some incredible wineries within just a few miles!
The house was nicely arranged and quite spacious for a large one bedroom plus den place. We were welcomed by the owners and shown around and then given the keys. We then left to head out to dinner. When we returned, the living room was arranged and the firepalce was already set and waiting for us to simply light it with a match. It started right up and was a great way to relax. They did that for us each evening, and it was great to come home each evening and easily start the fire.
Mary asked us what time we wanted breakfast. And each morning, at exactly that time, breakfast would be delivered to our room. Fresh fruit, good coffee and then a different hot breakfast main dish. We also got a newspaper each morning. In addition, our bed was made each day, which was not expected, but was a great touch.
The bed was nice and comfy. The house was quiet and we didn't even know they were around the corner from us. The grounds are nicely kept with a variety of trees and flowers. Being winter, there weren't a lot of colors, though the spring bulbs were starting to bloom.
We will certainly stay with them again next time we are in the area.
