Thanks Julie for helping us choose a place for our last minute mini-break to London. As the first guests to stay we can vouch for the fact that you know how to prepare properties! Everything we needed and more was there. The discount you had available made it incredibly good value but we'd definitely suggest to anyone looking to book that this property is worth the standard rate. I have to admit, we are quite fussy people, but your home exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness and quality.
This property is a 10 - 12 minute walk from Tooting Bec Tube or Wandsworth Common Mainline Station.
Located just 11 minutes by train from central London's Victoria Station. Wandsworth Common is in South West London's Borough of Wandsworth and is close to other popular areas such as Balham, Clapham, Battersea, Wimbledon, Putney, Streatham and Tooting.
Tube & Train:
Northern Line from Tooting Bec Tube station (10 -12 minute walk from the apartment) with regular service every 2 minutes to central London from approximately 06:14 until 00:52. Alternatively, walk a few minutes longer to Balham to visit the many shops and restaurants there, where you can also catch the Tube.
Access to London's South East is very easy thanks to service by Southern Train Lines. Southern Trains offers frequent service to Victoria, Clapham Junction, London Gatwick and Croydon.

Wandsworth Common, part of 'Nappy Valley' with its higher than average population of 'City' professionals with young families, is a very safe suburban area with a relaxed and upmarket feel. Excellent educational institutions such as Emanuel School, founded in 1594, prepare local students for prestigious universities such as Oxford and Cambridge.Close to central London, yet without that 'city rush', Wandsworth Common has a comfortable pace that is refreshing after a long day of sightseeing.
The Common itself is 175 acres large, with a large area used for competitive sports, a number of ponds and a lake (fishing by permit), educational centre dedicated to wildlife, tennis courts, bowling green, cafe, fitness trail and pedestrian boards walks and pathways.
Less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment begin all of the bars, restaurants and shops of Bellevue Road. These eateries and shops look out onto the beautiful tree-lined open spaces of Wandsworth Common.
Bellevue Road has a mixture of high street names such as the Sainsbury's supermarket and Phase 8 ladies fashion boutique along with many chic and unique independent gift shops, restaurants, boutiques and coffee shops. One well-known independent name that cannot be missed is the award winning Michelin starred Chez Bruce restaurant, one of the finest restaurants in London.
Also on Bellevue Road you'll find several pubs including The Hope Pub, a relaxed and friendly local pub. Whether you're looking for a frothing pint or a traditional cask ale you'll have no problem choosing a matching dish from their fantastic British dishes, including all the traditional favourites, such as battered cod, 21-day aged beef with homemade Yorkshire pudding, Norfolk pork with crackling, sticky toffee pudding and English cheeses. BBQ's available in the summer and wine tasting and pub quizzes occur weekly all year around.
