Beautiful Victorian home 50 yards from Long Island Sound, not a typical vacation home. Kayak included. Cool shady yard keeps house cool all day long. Owner desires to rent to one couple with no children or pets, or to a professional woman who is interested in sharing the house with me when I am in town and enjoying it by herself when I am out of town, which is often. The house is one walking minute from swimming beach, two minutes by car from a hospital, Twenty minutes walking distance from the train, bustling downtown with a theater, lots of restaurants, churches, gift and antique shops, tennis courts, library and boat harbor. Ten minutes by car from Audubon center. Twenty minutes by car to New Haven's theater district. Ninety minutes by train to New York City.

Barbara's home is an oasis of serenity and inspiration.We enjoyed everything, from the soothing palette of the walls to the light gently flowing through every room. I felt like living in a nautilus shell, however open to the welcoming trees around all windows - they must be beautiful from Spring to Fall- and the open seaviews at the end of the quiet street.
We would like morning walks on the Sound beach and dinners in Central Milford, a five minute ride away,to be the well kept secret of a secluded place, so close, so far away from the big city of NY.
